I yell as they pull outta the drive. I check my phone for the time and see it's 8:43 pm. I got time to watch a movie. Cherry and Lillie are already on the couch with Tim Burtons A Nightmare Before Christmas. I run into the kitchen and grab some popcorn.

When Jack walks into Christmas town my phone goes off. It's a text from....
Mikey. But why?
I open up the message from him.
M-heyy r u ok? U were ignoring me at school and this afternoon u were ok. Anything wrong?
B- yes I'm fine now. Eh nothing too major
M-u sure u could always tell me
I contemplate telling him but then I notice Cherry and Lillie looking at me.
"Hi?"
"Who are you texting?"
Lillie asks
"Just that new dude Mikey. He's asking if anythings wrong. And I don't know if I should tell him the truth or just say nothing."
"He has study hall with us. He seems nice. You should tell him."
Cherry says with Lillie nodding.
I look back at my phone and text,
B-it's that my mom just got up & left me & my dad.
M-that's not nothing. Ik the feeling my dad left me &my mom.
What? He actually dealt with this? Before I can reply or atleast think of what to reply he text,
M-wanna hang tomorro? Keep ur mind off of that?
Should I? Maybe Cherry and Lillie can help me.
"Guys. He wants to hang out tomorrow to keep my mind off of things. Should I?"
They look at each other and turn back to me and nod yes. I'm guessing a weird twin thing.
B-sure when?
M-12
B-dont u have 2g2 skool?
M-mom would understand. Besides this isn't my first time ditching.
"He wants to hang out instead of going to school."
At the same time Cherry and Lillie Awwwww.
"You gotta hang out with him now."
B-if ur sure...

I get up to my phone ringing. I look and see it's 10:32am. Ugh it's early. Atleast it's not a school day. Well for me atleast. I pick up my phone and see it's from my dad texting me.
D-Wake up.
Ofcourse he tries to wake me up.
B-I'm up...now....
I might as well get up before he calls me and won't stop. I sit up and call dad.
"Hello? You texted?"
"Just making sure you're up. Just because you're suspended doesn't mean you can sleep all day."
I roll my eyes and sigh.
"Yeah dad."
"Good. Go eat something baby. Gotta go to help set up for the concert."
"Bye dad. Love you."
