Robin's POV
Hello. My name is Robin Johnston and I'm 14 years old. I live in a small town called Hope's Bridge. My life is pretty-good, for the most part, anyway. I'm one of the most popular kids in school; the others being my two friends, Tyler and Noah. Although they're my friends, they can be real jerks at times. Like today.
It was lunch at school and we were eating outside, as usual. We were starting to get bored, so we decided to play truth or dare. That was all fine and dandy, until Tyler dared me to talk to the street girl.
"Are you frickin' crazy, bro?!" I said. "She's dangerous!"
"What, you scared of a girl?" Tyler teased.
"What?!" I shouted angrily. "Of course not, you idiot!"
"Then do it," Noah said.
"Fine!" I yelled as the bell rang.
I'll show them, I thought, I'll show those little scumbags.
