One of my favourite and most loved books/movie is Jayne Eyre. I loved this book so much that I began to write my own version, a desi/Pakistani/Kashmiri version of Mr Rochester the grumpy, moody and ruggedly handsome man and the ordinary yet extra ordinary Jayne Eyre.

I'm not sure if I will be able to write the entire story, HOWEVER, I will share a few excerpts that I scribbled down. It all depends on the readers and interest.

Those of you who have not read Jayne Eyre, do not fear. You do not have to read the classic to enjoy this book. This book does all that for you and infuses 'muslimness' into the classic book.

Blurb:

As an orphaned child, Jahaan-Aara is first cruelly abused by her aunt, then cast out and sent to an Islamic boarding school. Though she meets with further abuse, she receives an education, and eventually takes a job as a governess at the estate of Emraad Fuwaad Rohail. Jahaan and Rohail Saab begin to bond, but his dark moods trouble her.

When Jahaan-Aara uncovers the terrible secret Rohail Saab has been hiding, she flees and finds temporary refuge and learns that she has fallen in love with him.
