Seraphine's POV

The air is so clear. Am I in heaven?

I open my eyes slowly. The night sky rests upon me, but I can't see it clearly. There is such a thin fog that blocks the soothing view. I raised my hand to drive the fog away, but my hand hits something.

A wooden board?

I blink a view times before I realize that I am still in the warehouse. I am not die yet. The ceil was done fell, but the fire is still burning.

Alexei! Where is he?

He was beside me when the ceil fell apart. He must not be far from me.

I stand up and begin to search him with a hope in my heart that he isn't struck down by timbers, but I can't go anywhere. The fire is like a wall, it surrounds me.

Where is he?

"Seraphine."

I could hear a groan not far from here. Ah... It's him! A wood beam is blocking my sight, so I couldn't see him at first.

"Alexei! Are you okay?" I said. He looks terrible. Blood covers his forehead. He gains a view wounds from this incident.

He coughs a few times. "Y-you are burning."

"What?"

Now that he mentions it, I just realize that there is a strange light that wraps me. It color looks like fire. Is it why I feel so calm and full of energy? Because in this situation, usually I will cry like a baby, but I don't. I also don't even feel any single pain. Was it also restraining the timbers from being fall on me?

"I am not burning, Alexei. Let's get you out." I said with the calmest voice I have never heard before. It feels like it wasn't my voice at all!

I try to pull him out. Even though my energy was restored, I still cannot pull him from the timbers that struck him down. His legs won't move.

"Then... is it your magic?"

Magic? I have magic?

"Cut that crap, Alexei. We should get out your leg from those timbers."

"Ah... is it a dream? You cannot be Seraphine. The girl I know must be crying somewhere else."

After he said those words, he loses his conscious. He looks really pale now. At this point, if we are not get out soon, Alexei will die from losing too much blood.

"Alexei! Wake up!" I shook his body a few times, but he didn't wake up.

Afraid of losing him, my body moves by itself. I raise my hand. Later I found out that I am aiming the timbers that struck down Alexei's legs. Then what had happened afterwards was really gave me a shock. Fire comes out from my palm. It burns those timbers and turns it into ashes in an instant without hurting Alexei.

"Alexei? Wake up, please."

My sense is back now and tears are falling down from my eyes when he still wasn't respond. This time, with despair, I point my hand to the wall.

God of Fire, please lend me your hand. I need to help Alexei. I prayed.

Fire comes out again from my hand and burns the secret door into ashes. My heart full with joy to know that I have magic now. It means that I am not a cursed child.

"You are right, Alexei! This is my magic!"

I stopped myself when I realized he was still unconscious. I never see much blood until today and it makes fears are flowing into my mind. I immediately carry Alexei's body on my back. He is heavy but somehow I manage to carry him. Step by step, I walk closer to the door and go out. Once I step out, the night wind welcomes me. The breeze makes my hair flutters.

After that, I find myself was already at the inn with Alexei. I don't remember what had happened afterwards. I just remember that Ayaka rushed into the room where I and Alexei were lying on the ground and started to heal us.
