History Doesn't Repeats Itself

"Three years ago. It seemed like so long ago. But, I guess if we lasted since then..."

I sighed making my way through the smelly, hormonal teenagers. First day as a teacher, not going so well. Bumping into someone, I fall onto my butt like a doof.

"Oh shite! I'm so sorry!" A familiar Irish voice apologizes.

We both notice each other, brown eyes meet blue. Sean McLoughlin... No fucking way. Flashbacks of my time in highschool with him flick in my mind.

"Fischback..." He trails off, a smirk on his face.

"McLoughlin," I chuckle back awkwardly as he helps me up, "You little dingus. Where have you been?"

I let go of his hand once I realized they were still linked. The bell rings and he smiles at me before walking away, not answering my question. Kids watch us as we walk different directions, some with big smiles on their faces.

It wasn't long before the school started to ship us. Some students hated it, some loved it, others didn't mind or just didn't think anything of it.

This is a way too familiar path that I'm going down.

"Hello everybody," I greet the kids walking into the gym, "My name is Mr. Fischback and I am your new teacher."

During the middle of the game being played, a kid asked me how the history teacher and I knew each other.

"Jack and I- I mean, Mr. McLoughlin and I were best friends in High school," I answered the question, leaving out the detail of us dating and the huge break up.

They don't need to know that. Especially without Jack's permission. This spiked a lot more questions before I quieted them down and resumed the game.

My lunch break came around. The smell of the food from the lunch cafeteria was enough to kill my appetite but I needed food. Of course, as I was walking towards it, the one and only Irish man came up, joining me for the wonderful feast.

While we were walking, we agreed to let the past behind us and keep the fact that we were once boyfriends a secret. At least for now anyway. After that, we decided to be just friends again.

Once we walked into the cafeteria together, students started fangirling. Hell, one girl stood up on the freaking table and screamed, "Septiplier away!"

Everyone stared at her with wide eyes, including us. How did she manage to come up with that? The principle, Minx laughed and said it back to the girl. She then turned to her wife who nodded along.

Thanks Minx and Krism. So it stuck. Whenever we would talk to each other, students would whisper to their friends 'Septiplier'. To be fair, Jack and I were getting closer.

This is exactly how it started before and it scares the crap outta me.

Yawning and greeting the students entering the gym, I almost fell asleep.

They finished getting changed and when I was introducing the High schoolers on what sport we'll be doing, they started flipping out. That means one thing. Turning, I saw Jack bringing me a coffee, "Next time, ya doof, go to sleep at a reasonable time."

"Well you know me. I spend all night playing video games," I smile, and take it.

"Yeah and I'm going to take your PlayStation because of it."

I started pouting, "Nooooo."

"Then sleep!"

He waved at the students before started to walk away.
