Chapter 0 : Memories hurt

Antonio smiled as he felt a calming breeze flow trough his hair, the wind circled around him and went on to shake the trees, creating a nice sound that rang through Antonio's ears, but he liked it. It wasn't annoying like the sound of bickering, it didn't hurt like the words of rejection.

Antonio sighed as he forced himself to think about that again. It hurt. Rejection hurt a lot, more than he expected, more than he had ever imagined. Antonio tried to shake off that thought, tried to forget, but to no avail. He found himself returning to that moment, reliving it, hurting him even more.

Antonio remembered those few seconds vividly, especially the end. He remember what Lovino had said, when he confessed. He remembered words he confessed with his love to Lovino. Those weren't happy memories.

Antonio would have sunken even deeper in depression, if his phone wouldn't ring, startling him out of his dark thoughts. He fished his phone out of his pocket, and looked at who was calling - Ludwig. Antonio didn't think much of it, he just answered.

"Hola!" Antonio greeted with the happiest voice he could muster.

"Oh, Antonio," Ludwig paused awkwardly. "Guten Tag."

"Hey Antonio, I wanted to tell you something." Ludwig's voice rang through the device in Antonio's hand.

"What is it?" Antonio asked trying to focus on Ludwig, Antonio knew that not listening to him could end up poorly.

"Me and some others have an idea how we could feel closer to our citizens," Antonio listened to Ludwig's words, puzzled, why would he waste his time on such a ridiculous problem, when there were much more serious at hand. "And learn to hide who we really are."

Antonio knew it, of course there was a catch, but it's not like it mattered too much to him, especially now. All he could think about was Lovino, no matter how he tried.

"Well go to a human school for a while." Ludwig continued, making Antonio bit his lip, going to a human school? That was the stupidest idea, Ludwig has ever had. What will that achieve? It probably was pretty logical, but Antonio couldn't think straight.

"You'll have to drive to England..." Ludwig said slowly, obviously knowing that Antonio would not like that.

"I'll have drive to England?" Antonio re-asked bitterness in his voice when he mentioned Arthur's country.

"Ja." Ludwig confirmed what Antonio feared. "You won't be alone though."

Antonio stared at the phone, mouth wide, he really had run out of luck, first the rejection, now this. He sighed, he definitely was paired up with Arthur.

"Your going to be paired up with Yao, Kiku, Feleciano, Francis, Arthur, Raivis and Eduard." Ludwig counted down all the people who Antonio was stuck with, well, at least not all of them were complete idiots.

"Meet everyone at the world summit place, tomorrow at 8 A.M." Ludwig said and hang up leaving Antonio alone in silence, he sighed, he had never liked silence, there was always something or someone that made noise. As much as silence calmed him down it also made him feel lonely. Antonio tried to find something, anything that made sound, but the wind had fallen silent. He sighed, luck really had left him.

Antonio looked at the giant structure in front of him, humans would be amazed if they were allowed to do anything in one of those rooms, while having the whole building never was so exciting for country's, they even thought of it as too small sometimes.

Antonio sighed, he had to go in now, Ludwig probably already saw him. This would not be fun. Antonio inhaled and put on the best fake smile he could, he couldn't let everyone know what happened. His only problem was Lovino, there was no way he could hide that, if he was here.
