She had a string of words worn around her neck, she had a sky of empty glass cups being poured every night and she knew exactly what to say to make us feel the same.
"I feel empty."
She has felt this before. She said she left the faucet on to see if her tears has handles. It's either too hot and she'll burn with it or it's too cold and she'll freeze with the snow.
"I've felt this way for some time now."
She had a necklace made from her worries. She filled her glass cup with her journeys.
She said that the faucet is overflowing.
A drop of her self reflection hitting the ground, her shattered memories passing up each hand on the clock, and she still says such words.
"There's a leak inside of my heart."
And there isn't a plug that's wide enough to stop her paper sail boat from sinking into an underground city of watery bones–
And there isn't a hand strong enough to pull her up as her little sad boat rips apart and she's drowning to not feel this suffocated–
And there isn't a song that heartstrings her smile into a ship that searches for a shore–
"I wish it wasn't this way."
She had a string of stars inside of the night waiting for her arrival. She just has to look up.
