"I didn't do anything." I said.
"Yes you did."
"Well fine, I'm sorry."
"It's not something an apology can fix."
"I told you the truth. Would you rather I had lied?"
He thought for a moment, "No."
I sighed and leaned back against the seat.
I was starting to get a headache; I massaged my temples hoping it would help.
God I hate headaches, it seems like I have one everyday.
"You know-
I looked over at Corey.
"-I'm starting to think you're getting sick of me." He said.
I ran my fingers through my hair, "Why would you think that?"
He shrugged, "Just seems like I annoy you a lot."
"You don't annoy me." I said.
"Seems like I do."
I sighed.
"Why can't you just admit it, your sick of me." He said.
"I'm not, I'm just tired." I said.
"And I'm not helping." He said.
"No your not." I replied.
"Well I guess I'll just shut up."
I looked at him; he was looking out the window again.
I hated that he was upset but I didn't know what to say to make things better, it seemed like I was just making things worse.
It was silent but it seemed like there was tension.
Corey sighed.
I was about to say something but my cell phone started ringing.
I picked it up, "Hello?"
"Hey Bells, you rang?"
"Oh Drake, thank god. You have to come get us."
"Come get you? Why?" He asked
"Because my car broke down." I replied.
"Where at?"
I told him where and how to get there.
"Alright I'm on my way, but it'll be a few hours."
"Okay, thanks Drake, love you."
"Love ya too Bells, I'll be as fast as I can."
"Okay bye."
I hung up the phone and put it back on the dashboard.
"Drake's coming to get us; he'll be here in a few hours." I said to Corey.
Corey nodded.
"Corey I'm really sorry, I don't want you to be upset." I said.
"It's fine Arabelle." He replied.
"Are you mad at me?" I asked.
"No."
He wasn't reassuring me.
"I feel bad." I said.
He sighed, "It's fine Arabelle, really, don't feel bad, it's my fault."
"How is it your fault?" I asked.
"I shouldn't have brought it up...it's just, I've been nice to you haven't' I?" He asked.
"Yes." I replied.
"And I haven't done anything to you to not have you trust me."
"Right."
"Then why don't you trust me?"
"I don't know."
"Do you like me?" He asked.
I laughed, "Of course I do."
"Do you consider us friends?"
"Yes."
"Friends trust each other."
"Do you really want to know why I don't trust you?" I asked.
"Yes." He answered.
I took a deep breath, "Don't be offended but I think you're arrogant."
He looked shocked, "Don't be offended, how could I not? You seriously think I'm arrogant?"
"Yes..."
"Wow...that's the meanest thing you've ever said to me."
"I'm sorry." I said.
"You can't call me arrogant then say you're sorry."
"Well you are..." I muttered.
"Just stop, you've hurt my feelings enough."
"This is the first mean thing I've ever said to you even know you've been mean to me before I was always nice."
"I never asked you to be nice!"
"Well you didn't have to."
"You know what I blame you for everything; if you wouldn't have been so god damn nice we would have never been friends. He said.
"Are you saying its bad thing we're friends?" I asked.
"Yes. Vampires and humans shouldn't be friends; it's just the way it should be. I should have never kissed you, god what I have done?"
I looked down; I bit my lip trying to hold back the tears.
He couldn't really mean that could he?
I opened the car door and stepped out into the rain; I closed the door and leaned the side of the car. I slid down and sat on the wet ground.
The rain mixed with tears, I looked up at the dark sky as the rain came down in masses and drenched me.
I pulled my knees against my chest and laid my head on my knees as I cried.
