White, fluffy clouds peppered the sky and the grass was as soft as it was green. The silents was nice, compared to the normal yelling and stress that came with my life as a substitute soul reaper. " Ichigo! over here" Orihime yelled as she waved to me. quickly approaching me with Chad, Uryuu, Renji and Rukia at her heels. we were all in the park enjoying the warm summer day. I stood up ,from where I was laying down, to greet the on coming party of friends. " Hay Ichigo, how you doing?" orihime said as she hugged me tightly. " I'm fine Orihime, weren't you guys playing soccer?" I asked remembering the constant pestering to join them. " Oh, yeah that was until Uryuu got in a heated fight with Renji." she laughed, I gave a sigh " Can't those two learn to chill once?" at this Rukia, who I didn't even noticed was behind me, replied, " Look at who's talking, short fuse." "what did you say!?" I replied fanning her flames. " you heard me, strawberry." she said with a evil grin spread across her face. "why you..." I said through granted teeth. Rukia gave a small smile and I returned it with one of my own. Suddenly the peaceful silents was shattered by the deafening screams of hollows. 'well it was nice while it lasted' I thought as I reached into my pocket for my pass.Now in my soul form with Zangetsu on my back I set off to find the hollows.

I flash stepped through the woods to find the hollows as I approached I noticed that these hollows had an extremely high amount of reiatsu. " you feel it right?" Renji said, he had startled me, "yeah these guys must be strong." I stated plainly. "yeah we better be careful." he replied.

Ichigo and Renji reach the first set of hollows. As they expected these hollows where vary powerful, after they defeated the hollows Uryuu, Rukia, and Chad had finally caught up with the two soul reapers. " we'er not done, there are more up ahead." Uryuu informed. Ichigo nodded and followed rest of the group to the next hollow. when they reached the next hollow cite there was a large smoke cloud covering the area. "careful, with this smoke it can make a sneak" Renji began until a sword came shooting out of the smoke cover, embedding itself into his abdomen. "shit Renji!" Ichigo said as he tried to reach him but a sudden wave of pain oyver weld him. Ichigo screamed grabbing his head as though it would split open if he let it go. " Ichigo!" Rukia and Uryuu yelled. " No, don't come near me. Help Renji." Ichigo screamed. "don't bother my blade infuses its prey with a lethal poison that kills instantly." a deep tough voice said. " you son of a ..." Uryuu yelled as he attacked the unknown assailant with a volley of arrows made of reiatsu. the man just shrugged off the attack with a swing of his black sword. His sword was stained a crimson red with Renji's blood. The assailant lunged toward Uryuu impaling him. 'I have to get up and fight' Ichigo thought.
