Falling slow
I miss you
Why did you go
The petals falling
Caress my face
It's a feeling
That time cannot erase
Torrent of pink
All around
Clinging softly
To hair and ground
They hold so tight
To all they know
Unlock the past
Where did you go
The petals flutter
Onward to the ground
A rain of pink
Without a sound
Couples pass
Holding hands
And time it creeps
Dropping a grain of sand
Bit by bit
My heart will unfold
Crying its misery
A story of pain untold
I miss the hand
That held my heart
The love we felt
A work of art
Pretty petals
Up in this sky
Was my love
Really just a lie
Strolling down
This cherry lane
Looking back
What did I gain
I long to hear
You whisper low
Your hand embrace
As you kiss me slow
Tiny petals
Gentle silent friends
You have listened close
And I have reached the end
I reach the edge
Afraid to leap
The cherry petals
With a secret to keep
The petals dance
As if to stop
My tumbling forward
As they drop
I feel the ground
Rush to my face
The petals ever falling
As I leave this place
