Preparations

"Hello?!!!!!" Katrina shouted on the other line, I knew she just woke up because of her raspy voice.

"What the hell Katrina?! What time is it?"

I glanced at Glaiza, she's sleeping peacefully.

"Uh? 2:48 am?" She sighed heavily.

"What do you think you're doing? Calling this time of the night?!"

She fell silent.

"Kat? You okay? Is there a problem? Is there an emergency?" Panic strike me when it hit me that this time of the night, the one calling you is in a bad situation. Knowing Katrina, hindi malabo.

"Sorry bestfriend" she sighed again. She must be serious cause she's calling me bestfriend

"Its okay, you, are you okay?"

"I had a dream. A weird one."

"Whats this about?"

"About you. It scared the hell out of me."

"Ano, anong nangyari sakin sa panaginip mo?"

"I don't know, its just we're running towards the end of a cliff." she breathed on the other line.

I'm wide awake now.

"You jumped."

I swallowed.

"I swear, I tried to reach out to you. I held your hand tightly, you smiled at me and.."

"And?"

"And you let go."

I glanced again at Glaiza, and noticed that she's still naked because of our love making just a couple of hours ago.

"You still there?" Katrina asked

"Yeah."

"You think its a.. a.."

"A what?"

"I don't know," she paused again  "hey, just take care of yourself okay? and eventhough you're with Glaiza right now, text me the places you're going."

I chuckled

"Yes. Mom."

"I'm serious. Dead serious."

"Yeah. Yeah. I know."

"One 'yeah' is enough moron!"

"Hey, its just a dream. Kabaliktaran ang mangyayari. Ikakasal pa ako!"

She sighed again. "I know. Sorry for bothering you again. For interrupting your sleep, I know you're tired these past couple of days" I'm bothered now, not because of her call but I can feel she's worried about me. "Goodnight Rhian." I felt her smile on the other line.

"Goodnight bestfriend."

That night, I mean morning, I couldn't go back to sleep again.

I kissed Glaiza on the forehead.

Glaiza is so busy in preparing our Wedding, I hadn't seen her yesterday.

"Hey baby," she greeted.

She kissed me on the lips

"You look tired honey." I noticed

"I am."

"What are you doing again?"

"Yesterday, I talked to my cousin Bea, Benjamin's sister. She said, wait.."
