All I can think about is being with you
Feeling that feeling so new
Like a star finally getting a chance to shine
Like I'm actually living, for the first time
In your presence I shiver
My heart rushing like a river
I'm thinking can this be true
Can there be a me and you?
But no I won't show it; I have to hide
Worse, no chance, I can't confide
I know it's never smooth the flight
When it comes to love and feeling what's right
I try to deny it every single time
Tell myself it isn't true, it doesn't rhyme!
But the tears convince me that I too
Might have caught that dangerous flu
A sickness that makes you think otherwise
Even if you see it with your own eyes
It makes you believe that this could be
Makes all reason flee
So please spare me of all this pain
I've already walked in the pouring rain
Soaking wet I declare
Love won't give you what you want, it's unfair
I know all this and yet I'm still here
Wondering if it's just plain fear
No, stop please just leave
I know love's just a lie we want to believe
