Screw this, he thought and slammed his lips onto hers. She was frozen for a moment; her hands still holding the pen and paper, her lips still under his, her entire body rigid. Her first move was not the one he had expected from her. He had expected her to kiss him back. Instead, she jerked away from him and then stabbed him in the shoulder with the pen. The girl had amazing strength behind her and the pen dug into his skin. When she yanked it back, blood welled and soaked into the blue button up shirt he was wearing. He let out a groan and raised his hand to the wound.

“I don’t know what you think you’re doing, but I’m not that kind of student.” Her words were stone hard and ice cold. With a strong glare, she turned from him and went to leave the classroom. She stopped at the door to look back. “Oh, and Mr. Bane?” 

He looked up at her, his eyes still shocked and in pain as the blood continued to create a growing blotch on his shirt. Her eyes darted to the shirt and a smirk grew there, stretching the one side of her pink lis higher than the other. Her eyes met his again.

“Cold water and salt should get that blood out of your shirt,” she said and then left the room, shutting the door behind her.

Levi gave a small smile after her. I like a good challenge, he though and then looked down at the shirt. The smile left and he was somewhat thankful that Amanda had given that bit of advice. “This is a good shirt,” Levi voiced to the empty room before heading to the school kitchen to get the stain out of his shirt.

Amanda Britain was a Senior when she ran into Levi Bane on accident. She’d dismissed him completely, just some guy who’d helped her in WallMart because she was so short. But he kept her close to mind, her picture haunting his thoughts and dreams. When two weeks later, Levi ends up a Math teacher at Amanda’s school. Levi sees it as fate and does everything h can to try to create this so-right-yet-so-wrong relationship. Amanda just sees it a coincidence and labels him as nothing more than ‘Teacher’.

Amanda’s a pretty stubborn girl. But Levi is just as persistent. Can Levi gain her trust and affection? Or will Amanda be able to push away the teacher’s infatuation?
