Instead of leaving big cliffhangers I'm going to write a cliffhanger, then skip A LOT of lines and carry on the story (so that this isn't a short chapter, it's like a few chapters in one) so before you end this chapter make sure your at the bottom of the page XxxxxX

Saying that this battle was going well...would be an over exaggeration.
Cuts and bruises covered the heroes faces, a battle without a lucky charm is difficult.
Sure, having the master of illusions of your side is an added bonus. She does create good distractions for droplet, but because Volpinas gotten so weak she can't hold the illusions for long.
(A.N I edited the 'no answers yet' chapter. And now when they drown they just stay unconscious - unless someone breaks the glass - they do not turn into minions. Just clearing that up incase you think I've forgotten. I have edited some of the dialogue because I realised it didn't make much sense. X)
Chat on the other hand, still couldn't find a good time to use his cataclysm.
If only ladybug was here.

"YOU CALL YOURSELF HEROES?! YOU MAY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SAVE THEM," she motions to the trapped citizens. 'I wouldn't exactly call them safe. But then I guess that they can't get anymore injured.'
"BUT YOU CANT SAVE THE ONES THAT CANT ESCAPE!" It took a few seconds but the cat suddenly realised what she meant.
"Mari..." He whispered to himself.

•Adriens POV•
No..no no no I have to help her. I can't let her get any more injured. There's already a low chance of her survival...according to the doctors. I can't let her die. This Akuma..she's more powerful than others...Hawkmoth you've really improved haven't you...
Droplet will stop at nothing, I can confirm that. Marinette..don't worry.
I'm coming for you.
I called out to Volpina to distract Droplet, then I set off to the hospital.

"273...273.." I whispered Marinettes room number continuously in my head.
I started jogging and before I knew if I was sprinting towards her room.

A wave of relief hit me when I saw her just as I'd left her. I rushed over and took her hand in mine.
"Don't worry Marinette. Ladybug will arrive soon and we'll sort this out. No matter what you will be safe, I promise you. I love you Marinette.." I bent down and kissed her gently on the forehead.
I slowly made my way over to the door when I heard a familiar voice..
"Chat..." It whispered softly.I slowly walked back so I was beside her. I took her hand in mine and whispered
"Princess if you can hear me......move your finger."
I looked down hopefully to her loose hand. When she slightly moved a finger a huge smile grew on my face.
"It hurts..." Her croaky voice whimpered. It was like a bullet to my chest, who had done this to her? I saw how much pain she was in by looking at her facial expression, it physically hurt to see her like this. She should be making fashion designs and smiling brightly, her blue eyes shining in the sunlight. She should be behind me in every lesson, chatting away to her best friend. All I want is to see her warm smile, feel her soft touch, and kiss her pink lips.
"I know Mari...I know. Just don't talk."
Tears fell rapidly out of my eyes at the sight of her. Wires and machines were connected to her all over. I will find who did this to her and they better run.

"DOCTOR?!" I screamed out the door. There must be some still here.
I didn't get a reply so I ran into every room in the hospital, searching for any doctor or nurse.
I was checking the rooms nearby when I heard the noise.
A noise that no one should ever have to head in their life.

The long beep of the monitor filled my ears.

I felt paralysed, I couldn't move a muscle. I knew I had to check if it was her...but I couldn't bring myself to move.
"D-DOCTOR!" I screamed once again.
This time someone finally came running, they must have heard the noise as well.

All my questions were answered when he ran into room 273.
She was gone...

HAHAHAHA

I'm so sorry! I'm in an evil mood. I wanted to see your reactions.
here's what really happened:

"I know Mari...I know. Just don't talk."
Tears fell rapidly out of my eyes at the sight of her. Wires and machines were connected to her all over. I will find who did this to her and they better run.

"DOCTOR?!" I screamed out the door. There must be some still here.
I didn't get a reply so I ran into every room in the hospital, searching for any doctor or nurse. Once I finally reached the office I found a bunch of them, hiding under the desks.
"Please...you have to help me."

Once they were attending to her I headed back to the battle.
(A.N: he still hasn't worn his transformation off because he hasn't used his cataclysm)

"Where were you?" Volpina interrogated me.
"Checking people in the hospital were safe." I stated, before grabbing my staff and getting into a fighting stance.
"Your off the hook this time gatto." She sighed, before doing the exact same with her flute.
"I've managed to recharge, so my illusions are fully operating now.
I think we can win this." My Italian partner smirked while staring at the droplet.
"Oh these might help." I remembered, as I reached into my pockets and grabbed some scissors that I grabbed from the hospital. I knew these pockets would come in handy some time soon.
"Perfetto!" She beamed at me as she grabbed the scissors from my hands and flew into the air.
"Gatto! Destroy that!" She pointed to a lamppost that Droplet was standing directly underneath.
"Umm...wouldn't that seriously injure her?!" I question.
"Trust me gatto." She called down to me, boy am I going to regret this.
I follow her command and I rush over to the lamppost.
"Cataclysm!" I call, before placing my hand against the lamppost. As expected, it begins falling; Droplet turns around and screams. While she's distracted Volpina races over and cuts the necklace from behind, freeing the Akuma. She then shoves droplet out the way.
Once again she blows into the flute, a light appears at the other end and she throws it over to the Akuma. Immediately a big flash appears and the Akuma is purified. Then, with another light ball she directs it into the air and everything turns back to normal.
"Ugh..that took a lot outta me. This was a one time power thing, there's no way I'm going to do that again. Phew, better get going. See you again gatto." She smiled brightly before flying off.
I wondered over to the citizen who was left very confused.
