It was already the 2nd week. I was sitting outside of my house and waiting for him. I still had some hopes that he will come. Tom and Tim kept on asking me about where he was. I didn't know what to tell them. The kids were starving. We had nothing to eat we barely found water to drink. Tom, Tim and Jim were very forlorn and dismal. I didn't know what to do! I was so tired and i felt lonely.
All of the houses were broken down, some were abandoned some were dismantled and some were too old. Everything was ruined. The village was almost empty. Everyone is running away or hiding. All around there were dead tree's with yellow and brownish leaves on the ground.
Few weeks later I lost my hopes I was hopeless and desperate! 4 th week already and he still didn't come back! I thought of leaving this village because the danger was closer and closer. The foremost thing was that I couldn't sit and wait for the enemies to come for us. Suddenly I had a flashback for a moment I looked like I was concentrated on looking at something but that was a flashback my mind was totally in another place.
In december 24 th the day before christmas i woke up extra early because of the loud bang on the door. It was my neighbor. She was in a rush, she talked so fast that I barely understood him. She told me that she was leaving she came to say goodbye. She suggested me to also leave because people around were saying that the enemies were going to attack. The next morning i woke up the kids earlier than i usually do they were all griddy, mad and anxious also I interrupted them from their sleep.Time usually sleeps too much and he doesn't likes to be awoken from his sleep but for this time he woke up easily. I thought about everything at night, about where we could go and about how could we go. In the village that is next to ours there are some relatives of mine i thought about staying there for some weeks and then move on. We didn't take anything with us but water. No clothes, no tools, or food because we didn't have anything but water. On the way i saw a big, fancy, red carriage. Even Though it was not what i planned. I thought of asking them if they can take us. I tried to stop them. A fat man with black and white formal clothes came out of the carriage. He saw our situation he saw how feeble, thin and wick the kids were and how desperate, exhausted and tired i was. I begged him I cried and I told them to atleast take my kids with them because they were very tired and exhausted since they didn't eat for long and they didn't have enough energy or strength. Finally the man was convinced he told me that he can take me until the ways get spread until we arrive to the centre of the village. On the way the man stopped the carriage opened the door and gave the kids some fruits. He gave Jim an apple Tom a peach and Tim a pear. "There you go boys, eat healthy food."Tom and Tim thanked the man and smiled. Everyone was serene. Tom and Tim fell asleep. Jim was sleeping anyways after he ate the fruit. I prayed on the way i thanked God for the carriage and i prayed and begged God to help me. We were almost there. I thanked them very much and went out of the carriage. From now we had to walk by foot. After 2 or 3 hours we arrived our destination.
