If you have a hard time reading at first don't worry! I had trouble reading it at first and I wrote this!
Hey, are you awake?
Yea, why do you ask?
I want to hear another one of your stories!
Which one? One of mine?
No, one of the legends your mother always tells you.
Oh, one of those ones... why do you like them anyways? In this day and age legends are silly stories that no one likes... besides you.
I'm always interested in them! I can't help if I'm curious... plus those legends are always sad... very sad.
Well, I guess one then.
Yay! What is this one called?
Hmm... I'll tell you about the tale of a crying stone... or what it's called anyways.
Crying stone?
Yea, a crying stone. The legend comes from a beautiful pond near here, people can always hear cries coming from the pond... or it's just a rumor anyways.
Sounds cool! But why would you hear cries?
You'll find out in the story. And this does take place many years ago.
Spill the beans! I wana hear it!
Okay okay... once there was two adults, both were recently married.
And they had a child?
Yea, they had a female child but she died at birth.
No way! That's so sad!
Sure, but you didn't hear all of it.
The parents were in grief over their child so they left their to find a demon!
A demon? Why?
Well, to revive their child!
Did they find one?
Yes they did! But the demon demanded something in return of the revival of their child!
Really? What did the demon want?
Well, the demon demanded...
---
The mother and father climbed up the mountain, searching for the demon that was told to be there.
"Our poor Lilith, if only she didn't die..." The father gently rubbed the head of the lifeless baby that was in the mother's arms "You'll wake up soon enough..."
"I'm sure our baby girl will live a great life soon enough... or I wish a demon will revive her..." The mother held the baby close to her and looked ahead, they were close.
As they approached, a creature of darkness slowly flowed out of the cave and grinned at them. It went over to them and looked down at the child. "A sacrifice for me? I prefer living things better..."
