Humalakhak ako when I saw Dani's face. Bumitaw ako sa pagkakayakap kay Tito at bumalik kay Dani. Binigyan ko sya ng sidehug.

Bong: Syempre ikaw pa din number one. Ikaw anak ko, e. Pero di ba gusto mo rin ng ate?

Dani: Basta ba si Ate Ly, why not? Idol ko na, ate ko pa.

I smiled. It warmed my heart na sobrang welcome ako sa kanila.

Ly: Lakas ko talaga sa inyo, noh?

I teased them.

Thirdy: Sobrang lakas ate. Dagdag na kaya namin ang Ravena sa apelyido mo?

Nakita ko si Thirdy na naglalakad papunta sa amin. So he was eavesdropping. I went to hug him.

Mozzy: Ang tanong papayag ba tong si Ruel??

Napalingon ako to see Tita Mozzy with my father approaching us. Bumitaw ako kay Thirdy, gave Tita a hug and a kiss and went to squeeze my father.

Ruel: We're proud of you, anak. Lamo yun.

I faced all of them. What have I done to deserve such a strong support system? I smiled.

Ly: Thank you po for the support. We'll get game two.

Mozzy: Wala naman kaming duda dun, anak.

May lumapit sa aming photographer to take a photo of us  with his phone and we gladly obliged. Pang souvenir na rin for us since hindi naman everyday na nagkikita kita kami at nagkakasama. Nung matapos yun, we talked for some more hoping for the arena to clear out para makalabas kami ng matiwasay.

My phone rang and it was a FaceTime request from Kief. I accepted it.

Ang gwapo talaga ng boyfriend ko. Oopsss.

Ly: Babe...

Kief: Grabe nakakaselos kayo. Ako lang ata absent dyan e.

He frowned like a baby on the monitor and I can't help but laugh. Imbes kasi na maawa ako sa kanya, e natatawa nalang talaga ko. Di kasi bagay. Lalaking lalaki ang dating pero kung makatampo ang bading tignan.

I asked everyone to stay behind me as I raised the phone up in the air. They said hi.

Kief: Salamat babe ha. Mas lalo lang ako nalungkot. Thank you talaga.

Ly: Manong, tigil na sa pagdadrama. Sobrang di po talaga bagay sayo.

Thirdy: Onga. Bading mo, hoy. Mahiya ka kay Ate Ly. Andito pa naman si Tito Ruel.

Kief: Hi po, Pa.

Bong: Sino kausap mo anak? Ako o ang tito mo?

Kief looked like he was shy to admit who he was referring to, but he answered anyway.

Kief: Si Tito po.

Ruel: Pabebe mo pala, anak.

And with that everyone laughed. Kief just smiled. He had called my father Papa several times already and it didnt bother any of them. Kung gano ako ka welcome sa pamilya niya, ganun di siya sa aking pamilya.

Kief: Ay Ly. May surprise ako sayo para di ka na malungkot.

Ly: And what is it this time, babe?

Kief: Look at this.

He positioned the camera so that we could see the center of the basketball court. He was in Iloilo playing in a 3x3 tour. A little while later, the music came on. Albatross.

Isa isang pumasok ang mga lalaki sa court at sumayaw ng albatross. Wala silang klarong steps basta sumasayaw lang sila. Nakakatawa ang cute. Pati sila Papa nakitawa na rin. May mga bata ring sumayaw. Nakakaaliw lang. Mas marunong pa sumayaw ang mga bata kesa dun sa ibang matatanda. A while later nakita ko ang mga kaibigan namin from Manila na kasama niya sa tour na sumali sa pagsasayaw. A while later, he danced as well. Laughtrip!

He always had a liking to dance pero although minsan hindi bumabagay, cute pa rin naman, especially since he exerts much effort.

Nung matapos na ang tugtog, they grouped together in the center court.

Them: Heartstrong!!!

Kief: I love you, Alyssa Valdez!!!

I smiled as the people behind me kept teasing me. Sinusundot pa nga ni Thirdy ang tagiliran ko while he mouthed "yieeeee".

Lumapit si Kiefer sa cam and gave the screen a kiss.

Ly: Ano na namang kabalbalan yun, Kief? Baliw ka talaga, eh noh?

Kief: Grabe ka naman makabaliw. As far as I know, baliw baliw lang naman ako sayo.

Ly: Jusko Kiefer. Old school na yan. Umuwi ka na nga lang dito.

He grinned and wiggled his eyebrows.

Kief: Someone's missing me.

Ly: Oo naman. Miss ka na ni Mommy mo.

Kief: Kala ko pa naman ikaw nakamiss sakin.

Dani: Pabebe nation!

We laughed.

Ly: Seriously Kief. Thank you. You didnt have to do that. And thanks na rin sa mga dancers mo. Nadamay pa talaga sila sa kabaliwan mo.

Kief: G naman sila, babe, e. Crush ka kaya ng more than half ng mga tao dito.

Ly: Wushu. Basta sabihin mo sa kanila na appreciate ko ang effort nila.

Kief: Effort nila lang? Pano naman ako? Sumayaw din naman ako ah? Tas ako pa nag organize?

Ly: Hm...

Kief: Ah, alam ko na, kasi effortless ako sumayaw.

Jusko. Kapal talaga.

Ly: Oo na lang. Sige babe. Gutom na ko. Baba na natin to ha. Thank you talaga. Saka I love you.

Kief: Etsapwera talaga ako pag pagkain na pinag-uusapan. Sure babe. I love you, too. Ingat kayo. By guys!

We said our goodbyes and ended the call. I was about to put my phone in my pocket when it vibrated.

I clicked it and smiled at what I saw.

He never fails to surprise me and I thank God every day for a guy like him.
