Chapter 36 - Confession

She gave me a lopsided smile at saka tumango in agreement with me.

"It's then settled starting tonight we're vacation mode. No disturbance just you and I we're gonna make up for the lost time we have had and of course we're going to have a good time."

She smiled at me and mouthed 'Thanks'. I stood up from my to kissed her on the temple after I hug her bago ako nagpaalam sa kanya to do my Palace duties.

It was almost 3 in the afternoon when I got back to the Palace. It's about a two hour drive to the Lake House so if we leave at around for we'll just be in time for the dinner that I have the staff there to prepare for us.

Kuya Ivan would be driving us in the formal limo to give us added comfort and so that we can also have our privacy for the drive papunta sa lake.

"You look tired," sabi sa akin ni Kimmy, after we have settled in the limo. "Madami ka bang inasikaso kanina?"

Sa totoo lang I tried to finish as much as I can so that there will be no disturbing phone calls during our vacation kaya ever since I left home this morning I have been running everywhere trying attending important meetings after meeting which are at least an hour each. In total I have attended at least 4 since 9 am this morning. I have also given Manong Murdock a strict rule not to contact me anything about work for the next two months if its not urgent dahil i don't want anything to ruin this vacation. Dahil after I tell Mimay what I really feel this vacation will be our official honeymoon.

"Yeah medyo, feel free to take a nap as well Kim. It's going to be a long drive." and then I put my arms around her and bring her closer to me. Ilang sandali pa ay nakatulog na ako at naalimpungatan ng huminto ang limo at pagtingin ko sa labas ay nasa Lake House na kami. Nakita ko na nakatulog din si Kim sa may braso ko at marahan ko siyang ginising.

"This is it Xian, it's going to be a long night, time for you to tell her what you really feel, it's now or never" sabi ko sa sarili ko habang naglalakad patungo sa Lake House.

Throughout the whole dinner, I have been contemplating on how am I going to start the conversation about what I feel about her. We have a casual talk about anything while we were eating but it seems like whenever i'm about to say the three magic words to her, nadadaga ako. At para naman mabawasan ang pagkakaba ko, I cracked some jokes.

"Sige eto Bakit "S" ang nakalagay sa may costume ni Superman?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Hmmm bakit nga ba?" natatawa namang sabi ni Kim.

"Kasi wala ng medium or large ehh kaya di mo ba napansin masyadong fit yung suot niya di ba?" sagot ko naman sa kanya.

"Ehhh Xian angg corny!" tawang tawa naman na sabi niya.

Natuwa naman ako na kahit papaano ay napatawa ko si Kim kaya nagisip pa ako ng isang joke bago kami at sinabi ko sa kanya ang tungkol sa banana na kahit she found it so corny ay she still laugh heartily.

Since its a chilly night, we settled ourselves sa may sala, it's a chilly night dahil patapos pa lang ang winter. The fireplace was lit in the middle of the lounge and we sat on the sofa. Nakapatong ang ulo ni Kim sa balikat ko habang nakafetal position siya with a blanket na nakacover siya and I also have my arms around her shoulders as I'm gently caressing it. I was so nervous on how am I going to tell her what I feel and my heart is not cooperating at all dahil sobrang bilis ng pagtibok na nito lalo na't sobrang lapit ni Kim sa akin.

I peeked at her at nakita ko siyang busy na tinitigan ang mga apoy na naglalaro sa fireplace. Isang malaking buntong hininga ang ginawa ko.

"I love you, Kim," mahina kong sabi.
