"Georgia! Get Felicity ready for today!" my timer had already gone off three times but I didn't want to get up. Today, Yvette was going to worlds for the second time.
"Oh Felicity!" Georgia giggled as she opened the door to my room. I groaned and slapped my face on my pillow.
"Felicity, we're going to be late!" Yvette is shifting her wait in anticipation in front of my door. We won't be late, the flight to Beijing leaves at 8:30 tonight. Yvette just wants to make sure everything is perfect for her 'Big Day.' Blegh!
When I go to the kitchen there is a huge bowl of Cheerios on the kitchen table.
"Eat up!" Georgia runs off to her room to get dressed. I look at my purple t-shirt with jeans. I guess this is good enough.
"Ugh!" Yvette sighs "If you're going to wear jeans, at least wear a denim jacket to coordinate!" I slowly go up to my room to grab my sparkly denim jacket.
"Happy?" I ask
"Fine!" Yvette grunts and eats a granola bar
"Yvette!" I wrinkle my nose in disgust "I can already see your ribs, I don't think you need to eat a granola bar for breakfast!"
"It's routine, Felicity!" Yvette sighs and storms off to her room to make sure that everything is ready. I, on the other hand, go to the living room closet and grab nine books. I want to make sure that my week in Beijing is satisfying, even during 'lounging hours.' Lounging hours are 5 am to 9 am and 8 pm to 11 pm where we can't be loud or leave the house. Anything before the Am hours and after the Pm hours, we're supposed to be sleeping. It's a rule my mom made because we would get up at four and go to the market.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Georgia comes down with my suitcases. I forgot to finish packing and Georgia is steaming in infuriation.
"I took twenty five minutes out of my time to pack some skirts?" Georgia huffs
"Uh, yeah?" I sigh and put my books in a bag. Georgia throws the bags on the floor and raises her hands in the universal sign for surrender. She uses it as, 'I give up!'
"Come one, Felicity! We're going to Kiro for lunch!" my mom walks out the door
"Coming!" I grunt
