"Brian?" I exclaim. I run up to him and try to hug him through the cold metal bars. "What are you doing here?"

Brian looks skinnier than the last time I saw him. His cheekbones look sharper and his hair is so long it's covering his eyes. Brian whips his hair back with a grunt of annoyance.

"I came here asking for help against the Government," Brian answers, begging me to believe him. What he doesn't know is that I came here hoping for the same thing.

I open my mouth to reply, but before I can get a word out, the door behind me opens and slams into the wall with a bang. I whip my head around expecting to see guards, but it's just Carson.

His eyes land on me and he runs and wraps me in his arms. "Juliet thank god! Are you okay?" Carson questions in a relieved voice.

"What happened?" Brian asks worriedly.

Carson turns around in shock as he stares at Brian. Brian just nods his head in greeting like all of this is perfectly normal. Carson looks from me to Brian, the confusion clear on his face.

Suddenly I hear more footsteps and the rest of my friends run in looking breathless and slightly exasperated. Kylie and Sam stop dead when they see Brian while everyone else stands around watching the scene in confusion.

"Who's that?" Xavier whispers to Greg who just shrugs his shoulder.

I turn to Carson. "I'm fine," I answer curtly, still not in the mood to talk.

"What happened?" Brian asks again. I sigh knowing that I'll have to answer all of these questions considering I just stormed out.

"I sort of shouted at President Davison and told his right hand man to shut up," I mutter, but Brian catches every word.

He just laughs and shakes his head. I glare at him, but that only makes him laugh harder.

"Stop! I'm freaking out that guards are going to come and lock me up again!" I try to hit him but he just backs up with a smirk.

"Good. Then I'll finally have a roommate. It's been lonely here."

Kylie and Sam seem to have gotten over the initial shock of seeing Brian.

"Why are you locked up here anyway?" Sam asks.

Brian grimaces. "I came here to try to get help against the Government. I told them I was part of the Resistance but they didn't believe me since I didn't get the tattoo yet. So I've been locked here for the past week."

"Big shocker there," Xavier says sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. "We had the tattoos and they still didn't believe us."

Brian for the first time notices Xavier and looks between him and Sam in surprise. I guess he wasn't expecting to see two of him.

"Twins," I say.

Brian nods. "I got that."

I guess it's not the weirdest thing that has happened in the past ten minutes.

We stay with Brian for about an hour, but soon it becomes obvious we're just hiding out here. We don't really know where we stand now. Unfortunately there isn't time to think of a plan. Guards enter the room, and we immediately back up.

"They're in here!" One of them calls out. "Come with us please."

We hesitate, but we don't have a choice. We follow grudgingly. Before the door closes I turn to Brian.

"I'll get you out," I promise him.

I'm expecting the guards to lead us back to our cells, so I'm surprised to see Davison's son sigh in relief when he sees us.
