I want to go

*Jaeden POV*

We were still running and were getting pretty close to the exit of the forests, I was actually getting hopeful that no more lives would get lost. But I also got sad knowing that I could possibly make it out of these woods with two of my friends dead.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't see the rope dangling from the tree branch, well then.

I ran right into it but it wasn't choking me due to the fact I'm 6', I kinda got a little cocky thinking one of their traps were no match for me.

That went away quick. The branch the rope was on started moving up making the ropes tighten around my neck, I was soon completely off of the ground struggling to get air to my lungs.

Jack was the first to notice
"OH MY GOD JEADEN!" He said while running over and pushing my feet up so I was now on his shoulders and able to breathe.

The distant footsteps of the woman were becoming less distant and soon she sprang out before us.

"Put him down or I push this button and you will all blow up" she said while walking closer with a button in hand. Mother fucker

"But he'll die!!" Jack screamed.
She sighed and pointed to the left, but I couldn't look due to my.. Circumstances. But I soon seen what it was when Jack pulled out a chair from behind the tree and put it under my feet.

"Now. If you want him to live, answer my riddle correctly. If you do I will let all of you go until another one of my traps get you. But if you don't. He dies and I take the rest of you home with me to be my children" she laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world. It wasn't.

"Shoot" addy spat angrily.
"What does a homeless person have, but doesn't need; but what a wealthy person does need, but doesn't have?" She said while smirking
What? Repeat yourself please. I don't know the answer to that, and looking at my friends I can tell they don't know it either.

"Um, money?" Wyatt said. Really? Even I know that isn't the answer.

"WRONG!" She screamed out while trying to control her hysterical laughing.

"Guess you lose another on-" she started before Finn cut her off.

"NOTHING! A HOMELESS PERSON HAS NOTHING BUT DOESN'T NEED IT AND A RICH PERSON NEEDS IT BUT DOESN'T HAVE IT!!" He screamed.
He was always good at riddles. Good boy Finn.
"Very good, buuuttt I'm not letting any of you leave" she said while cutting me down and putting handcuffs on me.

"What!?" Everyone chorused there opinions while I stood there not being able to talk because my throat still hurting. But I looked just as shocked and mad as they did.

"I'm bringing you home. I'm your new mum now" she said.
"No! Just take me home. I'm used to it, they need to be with their families. My family doesn't even care! Just take me! Please!" Addy screamed.
"What? No addy!" Finn cried while we all shook our heads at her.
"Yes. I'll just go with her and you guys can go home and try to recover from this" addy said.
We all looked at her with pure shock
until mother spoke up.
"No can do kiddo, we all go home together. As a family"

I was originally gonna kill Jaeden . And I already wrote his death but I deleted it. I EOULD CRY IF I KILLED OFF MY JAEBAE. I don't want to be that writer who has really dramatic scenes every chapter. I like to have it realistic. But I still wanted drama, just not repetitive and unrealistic drama. Not bashing stories like that but I want mine to be more real so you feel like you are the characters. Anywhore, bye my lovelies💙
