Prologue: Our Story
"Bre help!" Ace cried, her leg getting stuck under a huge burning piece of wood from the house. Bre kept coughing, trying to get the smoke out of her mouth with no success. "Ace!" She called, trying to figure out where her little sister is. "Bre!" Ace's voice rang out before erupting in coughs. Bre ran through the burning house and finally saw Ace, her leg crushed by the wood. "Okay, Ace, this might hurt.." Bre huffed, pushing the wood off her. Ace yelped when the log left, making her hiss in pain and close her red eyes. Bre picked up Ace and ran out of the house, crashing out from the window and into the snow right when the house exploded. Bre gasped when the man who burned down their house began to chase them, and out of fear, she ran up Mt.Ebott, the place where no one returns if they fall.
Bre ran into the cave, saving herself from falling into the hole, but Ace left her grasp and screamed as she fell. "ACE!" Bre yelled, jumping in after her.
