"I had fun talking to you, can you maybe give me your number so we can talk some more?" I almost choked at his question. He wants my number!

I smiled, getting my phone out and handed it to him, after unlocking it. I watched as he put his number in, texting himself so he had my number.

"Thanks, Tyler. Bye! Have a good test of the day." He grinned.

"Y-you to-too." Walking away to my next period.

---

It was nearly the end of the day, I've been thinking of Josh all day. I can't believe I might have a friend, even though I know it's to early to say that.

You just met today, Tyler. Don't give your hopes up, he's probably not even going to text you. He just pities you!

I walked into the last period of the day, music. Seeing the one and only Josh Dun, in a seat all the way in the back. And the seat so happened to be by my usual seat.

I walked over to my seat setting my backpack down next to me.

"Oh hey, Tyler! I didn't think we were going to have a class together."

"Y-yeah," I said, laughing awkwardly. I was to awkward for my own good. I'd be surprised if he wanted to still be my friend.

After that we sat in silence, waiting for the teacher. Soon  our teacher, Mrs. Peters walked in right before the bell rang.

"Hello class, today we are going to start on a new assignment." She said, smiling.

She sat down at the table in the front of the class. Looking at her table she takes attendance quietly. Until she looks up, searching around the room for something, or can I say someone.

Looking my way she looked beside me at Josh. Smiling widely, "You must be the new student, can you introduce yourself?"

Josh smiled standing up, " I'm Josh Dun, I'm new here. Uh yeah."

Teacher laughed, "Okay guys so the assignment. I want everyone to find a partner and for the assignment. What you have to do is write your own song.  All lyrics must be yours, you'll be performing it in the front of class in about three months. Also it doesn't matter if it is instrumental or with lyrics. So everyone find a partner and discuss what you're going to do."

After she was doing talking about the assignment everybody started running around to their partners.

"Tyler lets work together!" I heard Josh say.

I smiled at him, truly grateful. "S-sure th-thing," I say, what he said next really surprised me.

"You're so adorable."

I blushed, looking down at my shoes. Why did he say that? Is he even gay?

"So what do you want to do for the assignment, Tyler?" He asked.

"W-well I m-mean I-i c-can pl-play pi-piano or, or si-sing. I d-don't k-know."

"Sure, I can play the cajon, well since they have that I see," he said, pointing at the cajon that was in the back of the room, which was full with a whole bunch of other instruments.

"T-that's awe-awesome! Ma-maybe I-i c-can p-play t-the uku-ukulele and y-you ca-can p-play t-the ca-cajon." I spoke, I tried to ignore how much I hated myself for sounding so stupid.

"Wow that's the most I've heard you talk. But that sounds great, are we going to add lyrics?"

"Y-yeah," I said, feeling self conscious.

"We can maybe work out of school so we can write the melody and stuff." He said, right as the bell rang.

We both stood up walking out of the to the class, making are way to the exit of the school.

Making are way outside I stopped when he stopped. He turned around, "Text me! If you don't I'll text you first."

I nodded slightly, waving my hand as in to say goodbye. He walked the opposite way waving back, yelling bye.

I turned around, speed walking to my house so I could get there before I run into somebody.

Making it to my house I opened the door, walking inside dropping all my stuff and running to the kitchen. I found my mom already working on dinner.

"H-hey m-mom," I said, kissing her check.

"Hey honey, how was school today?"

I don't think I have ever been so excited to here that question before. "I-i made, made a n-new fri-friend!" She looked up at me, smiling.

"That's awesome. Maybe sometime you can bring them over and they can eat dinner with us."

"Y-yeah."

I sat down at the table, waiting for dinner like every day.

You see we had a routine when I got home . I ate, went to therapy, came home and went to bed. Expect the therapy part was every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. So sometimes I would just go to my room and watch tv or read. I never really got homework.

My mom placed the plate on the table, "You know what to do after you're done eating. You can call for me when you're done and I will take you."

I nodded.

After I was done eating I put my dish in the sink. I ran to the door stuttering out that I was ready. Then we were headed to therapy.
