Thirteen years of my wasted life have been spent on this shitty blue-green spinning sphere of life.

I wake up.

I go to school.

I come back from school.

I go to sleep.

repeat



Except on this day, something was added into my boring, repetitive cycle.

My birthday.


I wake up.

I go to summer school.

I come back from summer school.

I eat cake.

I go to sleep.


My mother placed my birthday cake in front of me. With a click, the lights were immediately shut off. Staring into the darkness, I watched as she lit my candles one by one- the reflection of dancing flames in my eyes.

With one wish in mind, I blew out the candles, leaving the thirteenth year of my wasted life on this shitty blue-green spinning sphere of life behind.
