Then I realize there's silence, I get to the big eating room and gasp. Wolves are in there, wolves I recognize. There's bodies on the ground, most of them rogues. My eyes land on the beautiful wolf, a mixture of browns making his fur perfect. He's ripping into a body until his head snaps up and his big wolf eyes meet mine.

"Darren..." I whisper, relief washing over me.

"Oh Blaire," Alistair growls from behind me and I spin around. "Your alpha and his pack are no match for mine." I watch as he pulls out the butter knife and tosses it aside.

I growl at him. "You won't touch Darren." I can hear Darren coming up behind me.

That's when the rogues come into the room. These were the men that we're going to hurt Katy and all the other women. "Still think that doll?"

Then action springs over the place. Darren launches himself over me and right for Alistair who shifts into an ugly wolf.

I look around. Everyone fighting one another. I can see both our own wolves and rogues falling. Neither side being a clear winner yet.

I can smell wolves from other packs here too. Like Jace's, and James's, and others.

If James is here, please let him be okay... And Darren. I turn back to watching Darren and Alistair. Though I'm in the middle of the room, no one really pays mind to me.

I want to help, but I have no idea how. What am I supposed to do in a fight where I can't shift? My wolf still gone.

Alistair looks like he has the upper hand. Well, that is until cold metal is pressed against my neck and I let out a scream.

The room freezes.

"Neither of you should be allowed to have her." Calder's voice says from behind me, it's shaky but I can tell he's serious.

I can feel warm liquid dripping down my neck. My blood... Oh gosh, I don't want to die. Please, don't kill me Calder. I need to stay with Darren. I love Darren. I can't leave him.

Both Alistair and Darren shift back. Darren looks... Bad. I can tell he hasn't slept in a while, and his hair is disheveled. He's even paler than normal.

"Calder, put her down." Darren says slowly.

"Why should I?" Calder growls, pushing the knife a little harder into my neck. I whimper, the cold metal warms touching my skin. It stings and I can tell its silver. It hurts more than it should.

"You're on my side. Give Blaire to me." Alistair demands.

"I'm on no ones side." Calder snaps back.

"Calder don't do this. She hasn't done anything to you." Darren pleads.

"She's done everything to me!" Calder yells. "My daughter was threatened because of her! I had to work for rogues and kill my pack member because of her! She is the reason so many have died."

Something behind Darren and Alistair catches my eyes. A woman, one that clearly was never trapped down here. Her black hair cascades beautifully down to her waist and then I recognize her... Claire?

"Daddy...?" Her soft voice speaks and Calder is distracted. He looks up at her as do Darren and Alistair. I take the moment and push Calder's arm away from me.

I spin around to face him and as he starts to realize what's going on, I take his arm with the knife and turn it on him, the knife... No dagger, slides into his body and I quickly let go as Calder falls to the floor.

Did I just...

"Blaire...?" Darren whispers, I turn around and my eyes widen, Alistair shifting and lunging at him in his distraction.

"DARREN!" I shriek.

He turns and is knocked down by Alistair who tries to bite Darren's neck. Darren shifts quickly and I watch as the continue to battle, even though the fight behind us had stopped.

Darren somehow, in some magic way, even though Alistair had had the upper hand, gets him pinned. And without hesitation he rips into Alistair's neck. The other rogues can really do nothing now, not without their leader.

I blink a few times.

It's over.

Darren shifts back and I run over, throwing my arms around him. "I love you Darren. I love you so much."

He hugs back tightly. "I love you too angel. I've missed you more than you know Blaire." He buries his face into the crook of my neck and I hug him as tight as I can, not ready for him to be pulled away from me.

"Let's go home Blaire."

"To our home." I whisper.

***

Darren invited a few people over for dinner. But I don't care. Finally I'm in clothes I like, at home, with Darren.

I hug Lilian when she walks in, she starts to cry. But she explains they're happy tears, happy that I'm okay. Claire and Luke come as well, Claire isn't fazed too much by her fathers death, she heard everything in her coma. Her father told her what was happening.

She may not be fazed by his death, but I am. I killed him.

She said the reason she went to the fight was to see Luke. Seeing them together was amazing.

Wesley also came, although he doesn't have a mate. James and Violet as well as Jace and Darcy. Darcy was so happy to see me, her hug was painful compared to Lilian's.

A few other alphas and their mates come as well. Their mates having been also ones saved from the rogues. Katy is one of them, her appearance now makes me smile. Apparently they only took strong women. I don't see how I'm all that strong. But nevertheless, I'm here. Alive. With Darren and my friends, that's all I can ask for.

After dinner, the others stay a while before leaving.

I myself feel exhausted. Too much happened all at once and I haven't had time to drink it in. My wolf isn't even back yet to help me.

"Blaire..." Darren says softly, walking over and holding me close. "Let it out baby girl."

And I do. I cry into his chest. Everything that happened finally weighing itself on me.

He picks me up and takes me to our room. He lays me in bed and together we lie there.

His arms are still wrapped around me long after my tears run dry. And that's how they stay until I fall asleep.
