I just want to get away from it all. Away from all the pain & suffering. Away from those who keep driving pain into me. And I will, someday. Soon I hope. When I do, I'll go somewhere far far away, where people will appreciate me for my flaws and for myself.

*12th July X770

Kaito woke up with a blank expression on her face. She could hear Maido coming to wake her up so she did her a favour and stood up on the creaky floorboards. Though, it didn't stop Maido from coming into the plain room, "Oh! Kaito~san, I've prepared breakfast downstairs. It's bread again, I'm sorry I can't afford more" Maido hung her head, small tears rolling down her cheeks. Kaito, noticing this, walks over and pulls Maido into a hug. "Oneesan, I don't care. As long as you are with me I'll be fine." Kaito smiled at her older sister.

Maido stared at Kaito before gently smiling herself and ushering Kaito to go eat downstairs. Kaito softened her usually stern gaze and walked down the steep stairs of their small home and ate a small portion of the bread on the table. She put on the only pair of shoes she had, small brown and worn, and ran outside to meet Aldo, the town blacksmith, only to see him being beat up by men in purple cloaks who had grins of satisfaction on their face.

Kaito's eyes widen in horror before she runs back into her house and starts crying to Maido. "Kaito, What's wrong?"

"Oneesan, they, they were beating Aldo~kun up! H..he was bleeding but they wouldn't stop!" Maido sat Kaito down at the table and walked outside. Kaito could hear yelling and thumps against the wall before a scream and Maido running back into the house, bruised and couching up blood. "Kaito, run. Get out through the back and run! Don't look back okay? I'll be fine, I just need you to get as far away from here as possible!!" Kaito stumbled backwards, nodding and running out the back door, stumbling from time to time, before running into the forests that surrounded her home town.

Kaito ran through the trees with tears crawling down her face, knowing she won't ever see her big sister again.

*20th July, X770

Kaito walked into a large field, her arms and legs covered in sractches. A large dragon landed in the field before noticing Kaito who was staring at it with dull eyes.
"Oh? A child here in the middle of nowhere? Come child, what is your name?"
"Kaito," was all she could manage before blacking out.

1 day later

Kaito opened her eyes gently before seeing a large dragon that had scales the color of nature with black paws and a white tail. "Ah, I see you've awoken Kaito. I am Shizen." Kaito looked at Shizen before realising where she was. "Where am I?" Shizen softened her gaze and walked out of the small covered clear into the clearing where Kaito originally met Shizen. Kaito followed her out of curiosity.

"Kaito, I do not know where you are from but I cannot bring you home as there are no towns or villages nearby and I cannot risk flying over any but you are welcome to stay with me." Kaito smiled and ran up to Shizen before hugging her with her small arms.

*17th August, X785

Natsu sat down at a table with Lucy and Happy. "Man, I can't believe Bisca and Alzack actually liked each other!"
"How dense can you get Natsu?!" Lucy yelled at him. "Anyways, it's been a while since then! I wonder how they're doing in Crocus, The Grand Magic Games are coming up soon." Natsu gave Lucy his signature grin.
"They're fine, I know it! Hey, you wanna go on a job Lucy?" Lucy smiled and nodded before they both stood up and walked over to the board.

Suddenly, the doors flew open and a cloaked figure stood in the doorway.

"I'm finally here Mother, like you asked."
