Chapter 6: (no pov)

Rohit waited for Anaya in her living room as she was getting ready for the wedding. It took her nearly half an hour to come out of her room and when she came out, his breath got hitched in his throat and he couldn't breathe. She looked absolutely beautiful in her cream coloured saree with golden borders. She wore a sleeveless blouse and her slender and long hands looked softer than ever and he was tempted to touch her hand but he decided against it. Her long hair cascaded her shoulders and her back in soft curls and she wore very minimal make up. Rohit was totally awestruck and he couldn't bring out to tell her anything.

"So?" she asked. "Do I look okay?" she asked with an eyebrow raised and he gave out a breath that he didn't realise that he was holding. "Wow you look amazing" he said and she smiled. "You don't look too bad. You'll pass" she said in a seriously mocking tone. "Ha-ha very funny" he said and she laughed. Truth to be told, Rohit looked absolutely amazing. He wore black colour pants with white shirt and a black tie and he wore a cream blazer on top of it. He had left his hair messy and he looked dashing. But she didn't want to tell him what she really thought of the way he looked.

She was glad that Rahul had left early to which ever wedding he was going to. She wanted to go with him but was disappointed when he asked her not to. She had loved the fact that he had been spending the entire time of his visit with her and was only meeting his friends occasionally. But the wedding thing had brought it all down for her. But she decided to let it go. It had been a long time since she had spent quality time with Rohit and so she decided to get the maximum out of it.

"Shall we?" he asked her and she smiled and nodded her head. They reached his car and started their way towards the wedding hall. After a few moments of silence, he finally began. "So, how are things with the boyfriend almighty?" he asked and she was shocked because this was the first time that Rohit was talking about Rahul and she didn't really know what to tell him. "It is great" she said and he raised an eyebrow at her. "Great?" "Yeah great" she replied hastily. "Okay" he sung and she sighed. A few more moments passed and he began again "you love him?" he asked. She opened and closed her mouth and tried to say something but nothing came out. "I..I" she stuttered. "What?" he asked with a little chuckle. "I think so well I mean yes" she replied and he couldn't help but smile.

He pulled over to the parking spot and he walked around the car and opened the door for her. At her look of question, he simply shrugged. "What? Can I not be a gentleman?" he asked and she laughed.

They made their way inside the wedding hall. Rohit began greeting all of his family members on by one and each one welcomed him with a hug and Anaya stood by his side with a smile on her face. A few young girls who were his cousins nudged him and nodded towards her with a smirk on their faces and he just smiled at them and then turned to me. "This is Anaya. We work together" he said and she was immediately surrounded by his entire family who began to greet her and talk to her as if she was one of them. After meeting a lot of his family members, Anaya and Rohit made their way to the stage where the bride and groom stood. There was a queue near the stage and people were going up in order to greet the couple. So Anaya and Rohit joined the queue that was not too long.

She began to look around and at first she looked at the bride whose name she remembered to be Aarthi. She was simple and beautiful. She looked radiant and her face showed how happy she was and Anaya couldn't help but think about the day she would have to go through all that. Her eyes then fell on the groom Arun. He was tall and poised. He looked like a TV commercial model. He was as tall as Rohit but he was bulkier while Rohit had a streamlined and a well cut physique.

Her eyes were then scanning the crowd and then a guy who got on the other side of the stage suddenly caught her attention. He looked familiar and as he came closer, she got a clear view of his face and her jaws dropped. She didn't expect Rahul to be there. She wondered if he was related to the bride or the groom. Nevertheless she decided to stay out of his sight as she was sure that he would create a scene if he had known that she was at the same wedding too. She nudged Rohit and he looked down at her with a smile. Truth to be told, he was looking at the bride and the groom and his mind was well beyond in the future with Anaya by his side as the bride and them getting married and being happily in love. He looked down at her when she nudged him and since the place was crowded, she was standing way too close to him.

"hmmm?" he voiced and she pointed towards Rahul. All his happy feelings were destroyed as soon as he spotted Rahul. What was he doing there? He didn't know if Arun had invited him or if he belonged to the bride side. No matter what, he was not going to ruin his evening. "I don't want him to know that I am here. Even if he sees you just make sure that I stay out of his sight" said Anaya and he nodded his head. "Sure" he mumbled. He wanted a peaceful evening surrounded by his family and his most favourite girl. But he was wondering how he was going to keep her out of his sight. First of all they were waiting to meet the bride and groom which means they would definitely have to pose for the pictures which meant that Rahul might see them for sure. But his thoughts were not allowed to move further ahead as someone tapped on his shoulder.
