A/N :Hey guys sorry for this late update :/ i hope you like this one :) Happy reading  :)

Rohit's pov:

The next morning I woke up with a heavy headache. I couldn't open my eyes due to lack of sleep but I knew I had to get up. After a few more minutes of contemplating whether to wake up or not, I made my way to the bathroom and took a hot shower to kill my headache. I felt better for a few minutes and then it mildly reappeared. I decided to chase it away and made my way to the steam room. As I opened the door, I saw that Anaya's door was closed. I was wondering whether to call her as usual or not. But then something struck me. It is not like the guy is going to disappear. If I want her to be in my life, I must get used to him being around and so I knocked on the door. But there was no answer. I knocked her door for another ten minutes and then decided to give up."She must have gone out with him" I thought and made my way down the street to the steam room. As soon as I stepped inside, the strong aroma of coffee hit me and my headache started to disappear already.

I walked towards the counter and ordered my coffee and then searched for a table. I scanned the place and there were not too many people that day. I looked towards mine and Anaya's usual table but it was already occupied and I wanted to do nothing but turn around and walk off but she had spotted me already. "Roh" she yelled and I forced a smile and walked towards the table. "Wanna join us?" she asked me with her eyes twinkling with hope. "Who is this fella?" asked the guy who I hated from the moment I got to know about his existence. "No Anaya. You guys carry on. I was just leaving" I said and began to walk away only to be stopped by the Rahul guy. "hey bro I remember now. You must be that sunset guy" he said and stretched his hands out for a handshake. "I looked directly into his eyes with a small smile and said, "I have a name and it is Rohit" I said totally ignoring his hands."Later Anaya" I said to her and she gave me an apologetic smile. I walked away from them and out of the cafe.

I was a little disappointed with Anaya because she didn't invite me to the cafe as usual but I kind of understood why. But the guy, had I stayed for another moment in the cafe, I would have hit him hard. He was such a jerk. I shook my head trying to forget about his existence as I made my way to my car. I drove to the office alone for the first time.

It had been three days since the cafe incident and I have not spoken to Anaya since then. I saw her twice. One time was when she stepped outside the same time I did. I smiled at her and she grinned back. "Roh" she began but was cut off by her boyfriend who came outside the door right at that moment. "Where do you think you are going?" he said from behind her wrapping his hands around her tiny waist. He kissed her cheek and then her neck. I couldn't see that and so I decided to step in. But what surprised me was that she was trying her best to pull out of his grasp but the guy was too daft to understand that. Was she really with him? But that was not my thing to judge and honestly I couldn't look at him doing all that to her. So I silently stepped inside and shut the door when I heard my phone ring. I rushed to it and picked it up. "Arun calling" read the screen and I was surprised to hear from him after a long time.

Arun was my cousin and he lived far away from me across the globe. We were very close when we lived closer. He was a few years older. He was in his late twenties. I was wondering when he was going to get hitched. I realised how much I missed having him around when I saw his name on the screen. I picked it up, "hey Arun! Bro, how have you been?" I asked him and he laughed. "Wow looks like someone has missed me more than I thought" he said. "Shut up, it is not like you missed me any less" I said and he laughed again and I laughed with him. "So wassup?" I asked him. "big news bro. I am getting hitched" he said and I couldn't help myself. I laughed out loud. "who is the poor girl" I asked as my laughs subsided. "not funny bruh" he said. "She is Aarthi. There are only three more days to go and I wondered if you are gonna make it or not" he said and I was shocked. "your wedding is in three days and you are telling me now?" I yelled at him. "dude aren't you at home at all? Your parents already called me and told that they couldn't make it and I didn't get a chance to talk to them about you and that's why I called you directly" he yelled back. "I got out of town. Work place" I mumbled. "We really do need to catch up bro" he said and I laughed.

When I asked him about the venue, I was surprised that he was going to get married in the same city and the place was not too far from where I lived. After promising that I'll stay by his side throughout the wedding, I hung up with a big smile on my face. A perfect family wedding was just what I needed to distract me. But my thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. I opened the door to find Anaya standing by the door fidgeting with her fingers. "Hi" she said. "Hey Anaya wassup?" I asked her. "Can I come in?" she asked. "Why are you being formal? Come on in" I said opening the door for her but I knew why she was being that way.

I led her to the couch and she sat down. I gave her a glass of water and she readily drank it. I sat down next to her, maintaining a good distance between us. "Tell me" I said, looking at her. She turned to me and took my hands and my heart started to beat faster. "Roh" she began," I am so sorry about Rahul. I didn't like the way he spoke to you and I wanted to apologize to you on his behalf and also I am sorry for not calling you before I left to the cafe. Rahul insisted that we went alone. I really wanted you to go with us but he-uh I am sorry Roh" she said her head hung down with her fingers fidgeting with my fingers. And then she looked up and her eyes twinkled.

"But you know what? He is going to this wedding in three days. He said I shouldn't go with him for god knows why. But we could go out. I'll tell him that I am going to work and then we could go out. What do-?" but I cut her off because I was way beyond furious. "Just stop it Anaya. I don't want to sneak around with you when your so called boyfriend is busy. Common man, give me some credits. I thought I meant something more than that to you." I yelled and she flinched. "You do mean so much Roh" she said. "I miss you and I want to spend some time with you that is why I asked you this" she said with her head bent down.

I sighed and moved closer to her. "I am sorry for yelling at you Anaya. I would love to hang out but I have to attend a wedding.Mycousin is getting married. But hey you know what, why don't you come with me? Iam sure you would love to spend some time amidst the celebrations. What say?" I asked her and her eyes lit up. "You'll take me? You don't have a problem with that?" she asked me and I couldn't help but smile at her. "Of course silly. You can hang out with me all the time. I am going to be alone there too. You can be with me there. You will love it trust me" I said and she briskly nodded. "deal" she grinned and I chuckled.

She kept talking for a while telling me about how much she missed going to work. It was a short vacation of sorts for the new employees and we all had a week to have some rest. After an hour she stood up to go back to the boy almighty. "I better get going. He must be waking up by now" she said and my smile dropped instantly. But I didn't want to upset her further and so I pretended as if I didn't mind. I watched her as she slipped into her house and shut the door softly and I couldn't help but sigh. I closed the door and decided to take a nap. I had to go shopping because I didn't have good stuff to wear for the wedding. With too much on mind, I let sleep consume me.
