Yet another summer that I'm being sent off to some art camp. Ever since I was six my parents have been sending me to the same art camp but this summer it's different. This spring the camp closed and I'm going to different camp.
The drive was two and a half hours long. I was listening to my music and sketching the whole way there. My sketches turned out to be mostly dark and a little bit angry. I was angry at the fact I had no inspiration at all. I sketched along to my music: rock. Most people think that rock is just old and they only listen to pop and rap er, whatever. But I appreciate it.
After my parents dropped me off I was standing in line to check-in; I was standing in line behind some boy. He had dark brown hair and was wearing dark jeans, a blue shirt, Keds and he wore a watch along with some leather and rope bracelets. He turned around to see if his mom was coming and all I could catch a glimpse of were his icy-blue-grey eyes. One word: gorgeous. I really wanted to know if he was in the same camp program as me, after all I wouldn't mind seeing him again.

After I got my stuff into the cabin and unpacked I decided to go to the main room. I was surprised at who I saw there. Him. I didn't know his name but I wanted to, my thoughts were interrupted when someone walked up to me and asked my name.
"Jenny Murphy."
"Here you are Jenny," she handed me a sticker with my name on it. I grabbed it and stuck it on my jacket.
Then I noticed what his name was, James Riley. I have always liked the name James even the name Riley.

Someone who I didn't expect walked up to me. "Hey Jenny, looks like we're the only people with a J name." For a moment I forgot I had a name tag, oops.
"Yeah, guess so. I haven't been to this camp before, is it any good?"
"It's the best, if you want I can show you around sometime."
"Sure I'd like that, so I'm guessing you've been going here for a while?"
"Yeah ever since I was six." Imagine that, we've been going to art camp since we were six, assuming he's fifteen like me.
"That's funny, I've been going to art camp since I was six as well."
"Where? Because I'm guessing not here."
"Springland, it closed this past April."
"Cool, what kind of art do you do?" By now we had sat down on a brown leather couch, which I'm guessing has been there for a while.
"Painting and sketching, I guess they go hand in hand. What about you James?"
"I like charcoal and pastels, I have a few funny photos of me when I was younger covered in charcoal."
"Heh heh, I would like to see those sometime."
"Anytime you like, I brought them with me."
"Sure, could I see some of your sketches?"
"Sure thing, follow me."
He grabbed my hand and lead me to his room, then I sat down on the floor while James grabbed his drawings and the photos. He sat down beside me and handed me one of his drawings. I was at a loss for words. It was a charcoal sketch of wolves in the forest with a full moon. It was amazing. Clearly James noticed the look on my face.
"That's one of my earlier ones."
"It's still amazing."
"Uh... Thanks."
"You're welcome. I mostly draw flowers and gardens."
"I bet they're as beautiful as you." I think that just slipped out of his mouth because he was not looking at me, only at the floor. I could tell he was seeking something to say, he hadn't found what he was looking for. There was a silence between us, not an awkward silence but a comfortable one. One where you are in deep thought. I wonder what he is thinking about?
"Sorry." Then he looked down at his shoes.
"You don't have to apologize, I appreciate the compliment."
"Ok then, you're welcome."
