Sleep

There once laid a girl on the hospital bed
Everyone knew she was asleep
Men visited to touch, friends visited to gossip
For she was only a body, no secrets to keep

Guest or strangers, they're considered the same
For they visited the girl, the girl with no name
Their actions and words blur together in a lake
"I'm a friend," the aliens claim
Lies, Lies, Lies! She wanted to scream
They aren't my friend for they are fake!
But no one heard, they carelessly touch and gossip
Never realizing that this whole time
she was awake
