Julian looked at his reflection. He was boney and weak looking. His skin had turned two shades lighter. He was started to look like a ghost of his old self. No wonder Emma didn't love him. She must have been sicken to even look at him. He was at least half the weight that he was before. He had hardly eaten anything in the last few weeks. Could you blame him? Every time Julian would go down to the kitchen to eat with family, Mark and Emma would walk in shortly after. They would be laughing and holding hands. They had been all over each other since the second Emma and Julian had broken up. No doubt Emma had feeling for Mark when she had been with him. No doubt that Julian was just a misread of feelings. She probably didn't know the difference between lust and loyalty. She never truly loved him, she couldn't have. You don't give up on love like that. Nor do you hurt the one you love the most. No, Emma couldn't have loved him. The sex must have been nothing. There love must have been nothing. Julian must have been nothing to her. Thinking back on it, there was a chance that she only wanted to be his friend.
The children had started to see a difference in him. They're worried looks whenever he walked in always made him feel even worse. They shouldn't have to see him like that.
Livia had told him that he needed to go clubbing in order to get his mind off of whatever was going on. The kids had no idea that Julian and Emma were ever really together, but they could tell that the change in his mood had something to do with Emma and Mark's newfound relationship.
So he did what Livia told him to do. There was a change in the weather, it had gone from the normal 80 degree weather to a low 65. So when he went out, he grabbed a light grey sweater, tan pants, a brown belt, a brown watch, and white shoes. He brushed his hair so it looked presentable. Although he had lost weight, he still had a nice body, not as nice as before, but still ok. He felt good for the first time in months.
He didn't want to go alone, so he called the only person he knew could help.
"Hey Isabelle, it's Julian."
"Oh Julian, we haven't heard from you in so long! How are you?" She said in a kind but energy filled voice.
"Um, well that's why I called. I got dumped and really want to go out and have fun. But I don't know anyone outside of the family. I was hoping you could portal some people out here and we could go clubbing." It wasn't totally the truth, but it was as close to it as he could say.
"Oooh!" She squealed, "I have the perfect group of Shadowhunters that would be so down with that!"
"Great-" he started to say.
"I'll have the down in like half an hour or so."
"Ok. And Izzy, thanks."
"Oh course, anything for my favorite 17 year old!"
"I thought Emma was your favorite?"
"Fine. Favorite MALE 17 year old. But anyway, me and Simon are always her if you need us! Tell the family I said hello!"
"Bye Izzy." Then the call went dead.

Half and hour later:
Julian was stilling on his bed sketching. He was hoping this night was going to go alright. He had put all of the kids to bed, so his work for the day was done. It was only 9, so they had the whole night to have fun.
For whatever reason he didn't hear the doorbell, but Mark had to come to his room to tell him that the guests were at the Institute.
Mark looked shocked when he saw Julian. Mark was in an old white shirt and sweatpants, something that Julian would normally wear. But tonight it was Julian that was the hot brother.
"Um... Julian. There's these teens downstairs that said that Isabelle Lightwood sent them to be with you tonight."
"Oh finally," he said standing up. He walked to the door and put his hand on his brother's shoulder, "Thanks Mark."
Julian walked down the steps, slipping his ID and wallet into his back pocket.
It was Emma that was holding the door open, blocking who was behind it from Julian's view. She looked mortified at who she was looking at. He walked passed her and to the outside of the building. The group of teens were probably the hottest looking teens you could fine.
Julian looked back at Emma and said, "Don't wait up." Before walking with his new friends.
One their way to Julian's car, he learned the names of the four Shadowhunters that Isabelle had sent.
A tall, leggy brunette named Elizabeth. A shorter looking girl with black hair named Alex. A boy that was an inch shorter than Julian named Samuel. And a redheaded boy named John.
They all were dressed similar to Julian. Comfortable, yet very attractive.
"Isabelle told us why we're here," said Elizabeth.
"But what do you want out of tonight," Samuel commented.
"Like are we just having fun, getting you drunk, getting you laid? Like what?" Said John. No one even said anything about the laid part. The five of the piled into the car. John, Samuel and Elizabeth in the back. Alex and Julian in the front.
Alex turned and looked up into Julian's eyes, then spoke, "We know that we're here to help you mend a broken heart. The girl that dumped you was your first time, wasn't she? She was close to you, like a best friend. That's why it was to hard on you?" She searched his eye for more answers, "you have the weight of the world on you, and you didn't need to add a broken heart to that." The whole car was silent as Julian continued to drive. He nodded.
Then John spoke up, "oh we are so getting you laid night." And then silence turned into laughter.

When they got to the club, all of the Shadowhunter teens were bubbling with excitement. The club was filled with people, but not to the point were there was no room. When they were in the line, Alex and Julian stood next to each other. She wouldn't stop looking into his eyes. He didn't ask her to stop. It was nice having someone wanting to know how he is doing.
The club was made for teens of the shadow world to have a place to go. A place where they could unwind. A place were it didn't matter what you were. You were just a teen.
There was alcohol all around, and it didn't matter how old you were. As long as you looked over 16.
Samuel went off to get drinks. Elizabeth dragged John onto the dance floor, and then the disappeared into the crowd.
Samuel came back with the drinks. Julian downed two shots right away. Then he took Alex's hand, and lead her to the dance floor. Alex's hand then found her way to Julian's shoulders, and his hands found her waist. The couple dance for 6 songs straight and just kept feeling the beat of the song. Lights were flashing, bodies connecting, and Julian lost himself in the music. The pair worked up a sweat, but they just kept dancing. The more time he spent with Alex the more he never wanted it to end.
Emma who?

After 5 amazing hours at the club, everyone thought it was time to leave. Elizabeth and John had hooked up in the back of the club, Samuel had meet a very nice werewolf, which he had gotten her number. Alex and Julian could not take their eyes off each other.
They ended up leaving Julian's car there and calling a cab, because all of them were very drunk.
Julian said that they could all crash at the Institute, but John, Elizabeth, and Samuel all wanted to portal back home. Alex on the other hand took him up on his offer.
They both stumbled inside. They were just a ball of laughs as the walked in. They didn't see Emma in the other room until she spoke up.
"Jules! Where have you been!"
"Like you care," he said, the looked at Alex who then started laughing even more.
"Who is this, Julian?" Emma said, trying to keep her cool.
"Didn't I tell you not to wait up?"
"Of course I'd wait up! What if something happened to you!"
"You don't need to keep acting like you care, Emma. I have Alex now."
"I'm never not going to care about you Jul-"
He cut her off, "Oh would you just shut up, Emma. You get to go off and shack up with my brother. Yet it's bad when I'm having fun! Your impossible to be around sometimes. You lied to me. You never loved me. You never did. I wasted so much on you. Time, my love, my first everything was with you. Then when I think that we're going to defy everything and be together, you leave me. To be with my BROTHER! My brother, Emma. How could you! When I'm moving on, you see it as this horrible thing. But you know what Emma, fuck you. Fuck you for leading me on. Fuck you for telling me you loved me. Fuck you for taking my first time from me. I thought that you were some kind of angel that could do no wrong. But your a monster. And now your going to judge me for moving on. For moving on, Emma! I wouldn't have to move on if you didn't do this to me. You wreaked me! Don't you see what this has done to me! I'm half my normal size because I can't stand to eat anymore, I'm depressed. And when I fine someone that makes me happy, you act like I didn't need to do that. I'm done, Emma. We made an unbreakable bond, but it doesn't mean that I have to be around you. If I had it my way, you would be gone. But I can't do that to the kids."
"Are you done?"
"Yes, goodnight."
Then him and Alex walked upstairs and into his room.
