*Beep* *beep* *beep* *be-* *smack*

A groan arose from underneath light gray covers as a hand slivered back underneath from atop the black alarm clock which read, 7:00 AM. Brown wavy hair sticking in all different places was seen at the top of the covers, half lidded eyes became aware. Suddenly a figure sat up in the bed rubbing their eyes, "School time" Thought the boy named Samuel Niekamp, as he begrudgingly tossed his covers off himself and grabbed his black rimmed glasses and placed them on his face.

Sam stood up and leaned over to press a button on the side of his bed, suddenly the sheets and covers were tightened back into the position they had been previous before Sam had gone to bed. He walked over to his closet and picked out his outfit, it wasn't that hard. All he owned and could own were black and gray items, so he grabbed a pair of gray jeans with a long sleeve black shirt and changed quickly, folding his pajama's and setting them on his bed. He walked over to his bathroom and brushed his teeth and hair and headed downstairs and slipped on his black converse. He passed his mother as he grabbed his backpack and needed things for school. "Don't forget your lunch Samuel." She said as she handed him a brown bag filled with tasteless food pellets. Sam nodded a goodbye to her as she gave him a quick peck on the head. Sam turned over to his front door and walked out closing it behind him. "Packed with all the nutrients a growing boy needs." Mumbled Sam as he walked to the bus

As Sam approached the bus stop, he glanced at the other people that went on the same bus already there in a line. He aligned himself accordingly to his spot and waited for the bus, it was a very quiet 5 minutes, it always is. Sam rearranged his glasses on his face as he spotted the bus coming down the road and nearing a stop. The brakes of the school bus screeched coming to a halt, after a few seconds the bus doors opened and by single file, everyone boarded the bus. Their bus driver, a middle aged bitter man, gave a cold glare to every single one of them as they went down the aisle. "Mr. Woods is as bitter as ever," Thought Sam as he too, walked down the aisle to his assigned seat, "He never liked children that much." Sam concluded. He looked to his side and sighed, he sat alone for there wasn't a lot of kids on his bus, he did find himself feeling lonely at times but it wasn't anything too hard to bear. Sam glanced out the window, eyeing the dullness of everything. The bus started up and began to move, "Time to start the day." Thought Sam as he continued to stare out the window with now all the dull colors going in motion.
