" He knew her, and she knew him. He had no idea if the images he saw came from past or future, or both, but he knew her. Their souls were bound, had always been bound, and always would be. They were two with one soul between them, perfectly joined, perfectly fitted."
- Ann Marston, The Western King

When two souls aligned.

I was born on the 3rd of March, an only child of a decent and affectionate couple who taught me the values of love, respect and compassion. I grew up in a loving household full of happy memories. My dad was a respectable man, from an upper middle class home. My mom had it going for her. She had class, she was beautiful, never lacking of admirers, one of the most eligible bachelorettes in town. My childhood was so carefree and pleasant. The out of the country trips to the States and Europe taught me culture and independence. As I was growing up, I faced heartbreaks and lessons but one thing that I have truly learned is to never lose faith and hope that one day I will meet the one true love who is meant for me. Is it fate or just pure sheer luck..? And my heart skipped a beat and I felt butterflies fluttering in my stomach as I stood there like a Greek goddess statue gazing in front of him...too mesmerized by his chiseled face and those eyes that I can look at for days. He gave me this look that describes The kind that you can look into and feel like you are getting lost. The kind you can relate to that are truly windows to the soul.

Richard. Is he really the one for me? I haven't really believed in destiny till now.
Have you ever felt dazed wishing that you haven't woken up to the best feeling from a good dream and it leaves you feeling hopeful that it keeps you inspired that something much better is going to happen. Though I think REALITY is far better than my dreams indeed.

" Nicomaine? Is that really you?? I can't believe it, of all places we met again. Must be fate, huh?" Richard said amazed

" In the flesh, I wasn't expecting to see you here...I'm just surprised. I'm not much of believer of fate but now I think it all changed.." Maine said

They hugged for the second time, reminiscent of the first hug they shared a day ago, when they both didn't seem to want to let go.

" Remember what I asked you, Nicomaine?"

" Asked me what, Richard?"

" That if we saw each other again the next time, you would give me your number?" Richard said

" Oh, that..." Maine started to reply

" Maine, there you are...I wondered why it took you so long..." Pat's voice trailed off

" Richard, there you are...Sam has been looking for you, he wondered where you disappeared to..." Pat continued

" Just here, and can you please tell Sam to chill out? I just got here, he's too possessive...." As Richard started to laugh

" Wait, was I interrupting something?" Pat asked

" Pat, we were just talking, no worries..."
Maine replied

" You two know each other? Oh wait, oh my god....Are u the same Richard that she told...." Pat began to say as Maine nudged her on the elbow to silence her

" Oh wow..." as she said in disbelief....

" Sam, honey over here..." as they all went back to the booth were the party was seated...

" Sam, honey, did you know that they know each other?" as Pat asked Sam

" Really, pare? Is she the one that you were telling me? Nicomaine?" Sam asked Richard

" Pare....shush..." placing a finger on his lips for secrecy...

" Ok, for formality's sake, I will introduce you both...Richard meet Maine...Maine this is Richard..." Sam introduced

" Well, it's nice to meet you, Maine..." As he kissed her hand like a valiant Prince Charming kissing a fair princess

" It's nice to meet you too, Richard" blushing and smiling like a happy bride about to wed on her wedding day

Ok...so let's get on with it...the night's just begun!!
