"Carmen, Carmen, CARMEN!" "OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. CHRISTINE!" I push her off my bed and sat up. "Jesus man I was just tryna make sure we wasn't late to school" she shuffled to her feet and walked off mumbling. "Grumpy ass." "I heard that!" I stood up and walked into my bathroom searching for my tooth brush. "And, your point?" I hear her walk back into the room. I put toothpaste on my brush and begin to brush my teeth. "Carmen how come you never wore this dress its beautiful?" I rinse my mouth and walk back into my room. "What dre-" I stopped mid sentence and glanced at her and my mother's dress twice. "Where did you get that?" I snatched it from her with tears in my eyes. "Hey you didn't have to grab it away from me like that, wait Carmen are you crying?" she walked up to me." This was my mothers dress the last thing she wore before she died." I sat on my bed and wiped my tears. " I'm so sorry Carmen i didn't know." she sat by me and rubbed my back in a circular motion. " Its okay you didn't know, I just miss her you know?" I begin to cry again. "yeah I know love. " she got up and pulled me to my feet." but you have to get over it or your just gonna live a sad and painful life." she wiped the tear that was falling down my cheek. " I know, I know." I take in a breath and smile. my mother was killed a month ago on my 16th birthday. It was my father who killed her he beat her to death for letting me have a party. my father hated me well hates me, he never wanted to see me happy. He never got caught and I haven't seen him since, so I moved in with my best friend Christine. " Come on get ready the day needs to fly by like flash." I laughed at her and grabbed my casual white-t and blue jeans off my bed. "I'll be out in 1 min" I walked into the bathroom and looked at my self in the mirror. "I'm gonna be just fine." I told myself in the mirror and smiled, and quikly changed.

#After School
Just as Christine wished the day went by like a flash and we were walking out the doors of our school heading to her car. "Aye! Wait. Carmen Christine!" we both turned around and stared at the hottest jerk in school as he ran to us waving two sheets of papers in the air.
"Yes Josh?" I asked " i just wanted to invite you two to my spring break party." he looked down as if he was afraid to look us in the eye. "Us? Come on pull this lil prank on some one else not us we're not gonna fall for it." I turned back around and got on the car and rested my head on the dashboard waiting for her to stop flirting. He handed her the so called invitations and walked away. She walked to the drivers side and hopped in and handed me the invitation. "We're going." I looked at her and handed it back. "No thanks, ill pass." She looked shocked. " You've been wanting to go to one of these parties since the 9th grade." " Well my mind has been changed. " " Since when?" "Since now, and why do you wanna go anyway?" "What do you mean we both know I've had the biggest crush on Josh since forever." "Yeah what ever, I just wanna go home and sleep." " Fine but im going with, or without you" She started the car and drove us home. I rested my head on the window and slowly let the darkness take over.

I woke up with a throbbing pain in my left side and my head with a something wet and warm dripping down my head. My vision was blurred for a sec until i realized that the car was flipped over. I panicked and searched around for Christine. I saw out side the car on the sidewalk. "Christine." She didnt move. "Christine!" I Tried Taking off my seat belt, but it didnt come off. "Hey there are you struggling there miss?" i looked up to see a guy with dirty blonde hair. "Duh genius she just got into a car crash." i looked to the right to see the same guy, well im guess a twin or im just delusional from the crash. "Shoot her already!" another guy says walking up to the car."Wait No No Please Dont!" I screamed waving my hands in air. The first guy point a gun at me and pulls the trigger.
