You sat beside Jin, vanilla ice cream cone in hand. He would always take you out to eat desserts on Wednesdays and the two of you would always have the time of your lives but today was not one of those days; He was wearing his usual million-dollar smile and you wore... nothing. Not a smile nor a frown. Your lips were pursed into a thin line. He seemed to notice your unusual demeanor. Concerned, he offered you a taste of chocolate ice cream with the most comforting smile he could muster. You looked into his eyes and there in his orbs you found worry, care and a hint of expectant. Was the latter for real or is it just your mind playing tricks? Anyhow, you took his offer and gave him the smallest of smiles because isn't that what he wanted to see?

Breathing raggedly, you reached for your phone in hopes that you will find solace at the sound of his voice. Your tears continued to fall like a waterfall as you scrolled frantically through your contacts. Jin...Jin...Jin...The ringing sound resonated through your ears, a long "beep" following after. He didn't pick up his phone. Your chest relentlessly constricted and it hurt. God, it hurts. You bawled throughout the night, shaking in panic until all you could see was pitch black.

You picked up your phone first thing in the morning when you woke up. Squinting at the bright LED light the gadget radiated, you flipped through your inbox.

"Jagi, call me."

"Are you up? Have you had breakfast?"

"y/n. I'm worried."

"Japan is so beautiful! I wish you were here..."

"Jagi-ya... I love you. Please answer my texts. I miss you so much."

Heaving a sigh, you set your phone down, closed your eyes, and went back to sleep.

Sitting alone under a tree during lunch, a strong pair of arms wrapped around your waist catching you by surprise. You turned around to face Jin and smiled. He responded by kissing your forehead and tightening his embrace then resting his chin on your shoulder.

"Your eyes look distant lately." You kept your head hanging low.

"Is there something wrong?" You took his warm hand in yours and laced your fingers around his. Jin mimicked your actions and shot you a warm look. Water surged unto your waterline and seconds later, tears started to cascade down your face and onto your interlaced hands.

"Jin, don't let my hand go. I think I might die."

"yeah, y/n?"

"I think we should... part ways."

"...Why?"

"We're not breaking up without a reason. Why?"

"...I was thinking... that it's for the best."

"...I can't go on a day without you y/n and I know you feel the same way towards me. So, why? Why is breaking up the best option?"

"...I can't bother you anymore. I'm a distraction and a nuisance and instead of resting after a tiresome day, you always waste your time on me and I know you're stressed and worrying about me adds more to your stress and instead of using your money on yourself and on your family you waste it on me and I'm not good enough for you and I can't do anything for you and I don't deserve you and I'm nothing and I'm another person for you to take care of when you could be taking better care for yourself and I'm always sad and I'm holding you back from-"
