-- Inner Mind [Commander's Room] --

Two knocks were heard on the door before it opened even without the Commander's permission.

"Sir." A young and beautiful lieutenant started with a look of worry all over her face.

"What on earth is this racket?!!" The commander yelled while tying her hair back into a pony-tail. "I thought we've already gotten rid of these manual sirens? What am I running here? A fire department?!"

"Sorry Sir, but the ladies in engineering seem to have an attachment to outdated stuff."

The Commander just glared at the lieutenant in front of her. Yes, being in my inner mind automatically makes everyone a female. But being a soldier, gender means nothing and you're all basically considered as men. Confusing huh? Well, just try to put up with it.

Before the Commander could bore holes on her lieutenant's face with her intense glare, the sirens stopped and this fortunately brought a positive effect on the commander's mood. She took a deep breath and with much authority, she spoke one word.

"Report!"

The lieutenant straightened up and saluted. "Yes, sir! A critical situation has arisen, sir. In comparison to the change waves' fluctuating movement last week, this time it has reached critical limit. It seems, she too...wants this to happen."

"What?"

There was a look of surprise on the commander's face but it was then replaced by a look of grave seriousness. Taking her coat, she quickly left her room with the young officer walking right behind her.
