Chapter 8

Sorry I haven't updated in a while I hope This chapter makes up for it...

Em's POV-

His hand made its way down my arm, stroking it.

The evil look in his eyes caused fear to flood through my body.

I screamed but no one heard me.

He covered my mouth with his hand to stop me from doing it again.

I did the only think I could to stop him,

I bit his hand.

"You naughty naughty girl" he growled

That's when his hand collided with my cheek

"Emma!" Someone shouted, shaking me.

My eyes shot open to see my cousin Ellie.

I looked around and I was in an unfamiliar place,

It looked like a...hospital.

So i didn't dream being kidnapped.

The aching I had throughout my body supported this point

Tears pricked my eyes as I thought back on the dream, or flashback I had.

"It was just a nightmare em" she reassured me, seeing the fear on my face.

"Ellie...what are you doing here?" I croaked out, my throat sore from all the screaming that had taken place in the events beforehand.

"Your friend, Annie is it? She called me and told me what happened"

"Oh, does my mum know?"

"No, aunt Karol is on a business trip for a month, remember?"

"Oh"

"I did tell you yesterday, but you have really bad concussion."

"I'll leave you to rest and I'll text annabel your awake, again..."

"Again?"

"You've been in and out of consciousness for 3 days"

"Oh" I repeat

Just then my eyes start to feel heavy and I drift off.

After about 30 minutes I hear voices talking in hushed tones.

"She'll be okay dude don't worry." It's Nate

"This is my fault why did I let her leave my house on her own when they were after me?" Carter was here too, for some reason this made my heart flutter

"How could you have known they were outside your house?" Nate assured him

I started to move about, indicating that I was waking up, not wanting them to know I had heard their conversation.

I opened my eyes and they focused on Carter.

His hair was messy and he had a frown on his face but still managed to look like a Greek god.

"Like what you see, Princess?" He smirked,

That's the cocky Carter I'm used to.

"Ew no" I smiled.

"How you feeling?"  Nate asked.

"Like shit" I answered truthfully.

"That makes two of us" Annie walked into the hospital room, hands full of coffees.

"Annie!" I squealed

"Damn girl keep it down my eyes are about to burst"  Calum chuckled following his girlfriend to the side of my bed.

"My eyes are about to burst, because I saw your face" I quickly answered back.

"I see you still have your wit, Em" he comments back.

I stick my tongue out at him.

"Real mature Em" Annie giggles.

Ellie enters the room and I swear I see Nates face turn a bright shade of pink.

"Doctors are discharging you later Em!" Ellie states

I smile in return.

"Ummm em I kinda need to talk to you" Carter says, awkwardly scratching the back of his head.

"Okay"

"In private" he exclaims, looking at everyone else.

He gives them a look, and as if the look says it all, they all retreat out of the room.

"Look, em, for your safety, I'm gonna have to be with you a lot, so your gonna have to live in my house, I can't risk you being alone."

"But Carter..."

"No buts, em. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you, I already hate myself for what happened with spike."

"Fine."
