Chapter 7

Vlad's P.O.V

It had been eight months since Ingrid had told Erin and me about her baby and they had found out it was going to be a girl (named Azera).

Ingrid had been sitting down in her room and I had been signing something for the Vampire High Council when I had heard a scream of pain. I had known it was Ingrid straight away and I had transported to the castle.

Eventually, at 2:00am, Piers had walked out of the room.
"Come and meet your niece," he had said to me. I had followed him into the room with Erin just behind me. Ingrid had been lying in her coffin holding a small baby girl.
"Say hello to Azera," Ingrid told me. I knelt down next to the coffin and looked at the baby girl. She had deep blue eyes, like Ingrid, and a tiny face.
"She looks just like you," I smiled, talking to Ingrid.
"She's beautiful," Erin announced. I turned around and looked at Erin. She looked back at me and w both smiled at each other.
