(laurances POV)

~^flash back^~

(when aphmau and laurance first meet)

It was a long first day of preschool even though it lasted 5 hours 

When the be got dismissed from school

Every child ran to their parents 

while I was waiting for mine 

I sat on a bench, which made my feet dangle from being as short, next to the tall palm tree which was swaying with the breeze, and the hot California sunlight was beaming brighter than I've ever seen it

for 8 minutes or well I think 8 minutes... Im only a kid I cant tell time!

but still no had picked me up yet 

A little girl with jet black hair and dirty amber, she wore a purple sweater and a long purple dress which flown with the breeze, sat next to me. I looked at her for a while until I was starring. Until her head moved slowly meeting my gaze. I then quickly turned my head. she then snickers " I like your eyes...Its like when Im at the beach with my mommy.. Your eyes look like the ocean!" She said starring into my eyes. I then thought what to say.

"whats your name cutie! I said out of the blue

ugh laurance whats wrong with you your only in preschool!

"aphmau how about you"

she said smiling 

"l-laurance " I said stuttering 

I never really talked to girls

"oh hey thats my mommy... talk to you later laurance!" aphmau said running to the silver lexis 

After aphmau left 

my father had came to pick me up

"get in the backseat" he said 

"h-hey swetie" my mom said her face was red 

when we got home my dad had one of his rages again

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO LEAVE THE HOUSE" dad said 

"I-Im s-sorry I-I just wanted T-to get o-out and get fresh air" my momma said stuttering on every word

my dad then toke a hold of my moms collar  of her shirt 

"DONT DO IT NEXT TIME OR YOU WILL HEAR IT" dad said

I knew something was wrong so I got in the middle of the scene

"m-"I said until my dad said "Shut the f-" he said until my mom smacked him "dont hurt laurance"

my dad then threw my mom across the room 

I was tearing up

What did I just see

my life has changed rapidly

was this a bad dream?

"b****" he muttered under his breath looking at me with an evil look 

My dad walk towards me 

slowly

step by step

closer and closer 

until I ran out side the front door screaming 

It brought the whole neighborhoods attention 

and before I knew it the police and the paramedics came rushing in my front door 

"are you ok" they tall man asked inspecting my cheek 

"you look like you just had a scratch on your cheek you might need stitches" he said calmly and taking me to the police office 

~1 day later~

I heard word that they might keep me out of school for traumatic reasons  but apperantly they didnt 

I had to go to school 

~skip to lunch time~

"hey laurance " aphmau said sitting next to me on the swings 

"hey" 

"OOOooooOO~" she said in a singing tone

"huh? what is it?" I said scanning her facial expressions

"you have a scar!" aphmau said excitedly

"yeah soooo" I said waiting for a response

"scars are sexy!aphmau said

"do you even know what sexy means?" I said cocking my right eyebrow 

"its another word for pretty!" she said giggling
