It Started With A Surprise

My name is Melany, and my twin sister, Galexy, and I are the best singers in school and love music. Musical class is my favorite class and our school is the only school that actually has a class for mainly singing that's where I get the nickname (of which I only respond to), Melody. I also like the names Mel and Dee, just because Dee is a cute short form for Melody and Mel is short for Melany and Melody. This year we're in grade 12, but Galexy and I actually just turned 16 when grade 12's are supposed to be late 16 to 17 years old, let's just say my sister and I look older than we are and we're brainiacs! We live with my mom and her boyfriend, Kaiden. Our dad died in the war when Lexy and I were babies. Just thinking about him makes me stare off into space and pay no attention. That is, until my teacher Ms. Hillary calls me...

"Melany. Melany! Ugh, Melody!" Ms. Hillary, called as I just waited to hear my 'name',

"Yo! Vas sappening mate!" Everyone laughed at my One Direction reference.

"Well, I made a special arrangement for a month from now. It's a great surprise for everyone, especially for you and Lexy. We are getting a special visit for a week, but we have to do something for them for when they get here." I got so excited when she said 'them', 'visit' and 'week' because it gave me the idea of my greatest dream coming true, One Direction surprising me and Galexy at school.

"Okay, what do you need us to do?" I asked,

"Well, we all need you to choose your FAVOURITE One Direc-"

"I Want! It's an amazing song, I absolutely love it!" I said cutting her off,

"Okay, we will be singing that song, only if it is easy to sing. The easiest one to sing is probably Heart Attack. So we're going to be doing auditions for 1D members, you have the weekend until we go to the gym for auditions. CLASS DISMISSED!!" And I knew exactly which song I was going to do, Right Now,

"Oh!! Before everyone leaves, It must be a One Direction song. See you guys on monday! I can't wait to hear all the singing."

"Dee! Hey Mel, what song are you singing for the auditions?" Galexy asked jogging up to me,

"Oh, c'mon Lex. You know exactly what song I'm singing." I said walking up to my locker, I looked straight at her, "You know what song I'm singing right?"

"Yup, I do,"

"Right Now." We said together and giggled. Right Now was both our favourite song since it was written and never had another one we liked more.

"I was gonna do that one, too. There are only so many of our favourites, right," she giggled.

"As long as I get Zayn's part, I'm Ama-ZAYN!" I said laughing

"And I'm incredi-LOUIS if you don't take my Boo Bear!" She said and I got a lump in my throat as I thought about my Zayney.

We got home and went straight to work looking up the perfect lyrics, that's when I got a IM on facebook. It was Ms Hillary-

Victoria Hillary: Hi SUPERSTAR, I just wanted to let you know that the surprise was mainly for the girls. But I know you and Lexy are the biggest directioners so I'm just saying that we will be performing one of 1D's songs to the school. I know you and Lexy are the best singers in the school, so I know you two won't let me down.

Melany Sky: Thank you! We won't let you down. Who's visiting the class for a whole week next month?

Victoria Hillary: Now that, Mel, is a surprise.

Melany Sky: AWWW you know I hate surprises!

Victoria Hillary: I know, that why I did it!
