Its stressful. Knowing I can't let a bad word escape my mouth without getting hit with a 'gancho' without my mother saying she barely hit me. Mexican parents.
They rarely hit me. But when they do it's either with a 'gancho' or a belt.
I can't be on my phone texting my friends without my father taking my phone out of my hands and reading the texts. I know I can't say anything or else I'm grounded.

I talk back I get grounded.
I told my mom I'm a teenager. Guess what she said.
"OK now go clean this entire apartment since your a teenager " I asked her if I could stay after school to practice my violin "your too young" is all she says.
