Modern Guide to Find Love: The Right Way

Day 1: Before all else, remember YOU.

This is all about you. Finding love in a boyfriend or significant other, even those searching for a life partner. It starts around you!

People always say, "love yourself before you can love someone else." Is that really true though? I mean, love is love. You can give someone else love and have them HELP you love yourself. I don't know about you guys, but I find it hard to force myself to love the things I hate about myself on my own. Sometimes we just need assurance. We just need to know that we are seen and noticed and that there is someone out there, that one person, that LOVES what you DESPISE about yourself. Right?

I, personally have been searching for love for years. Since I was about 16 I really started. And I mean looking HARD! Following cute guys on Instagram, talking to every guy that tried to holla on the street that was atleast decent. Feeding into the social media comments, etc. I think it's safe to say I was desperate! (LOL.) That never worked and I did that for like 2 years or something. People I met, I just couldn't find love anywhere. I craved a deep and real relationship.

That was until... I realized that I was trying to control something that was totally out of my control.
Love
I can't do that and you can't do that. But God can and He is in control of your love life. He doesn't break, our God is always working to create a perfect love story for us, and sometimes we stray, but it's never too late to get back on track.

Today is Day 1 of this journey we're on, together. To find a satisfying love from Gods plan. This is YOUR journey. YOU are finding love the right way.

Step 1: A Prayer for YOU and your search.

Dear God,
Before any word leaves my mouth, you know each thought, each tear and each joy that my heart feels.

I am your beloved child.

It's not always easy to understand or know exactly how much you love me, but I thank you for your constant love that is always there. I thank you Lord, for your protective hand over my well-being psychically, and also over my heart.

I am perfect because of the special way that you made me, God. I don't always see myself the way that you see me and the way that I should and I pray you help me with that and my own personal battles.

God, you know my heart. And you know that I seriously long for love. I'm searching for that special friend, for intimacy, for a significant other. For someone I can depend on.

I know You watch me each day dear God, as I live. I pray that you allow my path to cross with someone you'd like me to be with.

Guide my heart to take Your hand, and to hope and trust in you. Help me to be patient, until I meet someone who you know will be a perfect match for me. The
