Chapter 11

Start from the beginning

Yes sweetie just be home before dinner. She says kissing my forehead.

I love you baby always remember that. She says smiling at me.

I love you too mommy. I say meaning it truly. I grab Maria's hand and leads her out to the car and Jerry helps us get in, then gets in himself pulling off to the park. Since Gena said they weren't gonna be able to get over here in time.

Maria are you ok? I ask her, and she turns to me with a devilish smile.

I burst into laughter at how Maria just popped off on that girl.

She better be lucky I ain't cut her on the spot. When I make dinner tonight we're having Shrimp Alfredo and I am going to put Ex Lax in her food let's see who'd be laughing then. Maria says as serious as a heart attack.

We pull up to the park and get out. I head to the stage while Jerry leads his kids wife and Maria to the front where the crowd is.

About it's about damn time mofo we're about to go on stage the girl from the Queens already finished there performance and they did ok but not as good as we finna kill it.

Gena says as I get dressed in an off shoulder shirt and big baggy sweats letting my hair down loose and black vans. Then we run up the steps waiting to be called.

Give it up for the Flaming Stars. Big Fred shouts into the mic holding stars as we strut on stage to the beat of the song and I start sing after we get into position.

After the show everyone comes back on stage for the judging of the crowd.

Alright people how many of yall think the Queen of Queens did it the best? Some people from them the crowd clapped I guess they must've did good.

And how many of you think the Flaming Stars did the it best? The crowd went wild Jerry, his wife and kids were screaming there heads off while Maria was jumping up and down whooping amd pumping her fist.

The Crown goes to the FLAMING STARS!!!! Big red shouts into the mic. The girls from the Queens run off stage crying. I have no time to celebrate so I jump off stage and Jerry and everyone else runs to the car and gets in.

We all run to our rooms and Maria comes with me. We enter and I go sit at the dinning room table and Maria heads to the kitchen. After she severs us our plates and then she leaves.

I say grace and begins to eat, while Adeena just starts eating her Ex Lax dinner. After a few minutes Adeena stomach rumbles really loud.

Ooo girl you must be really hungry but hey this food is the boom isn't it. I say giggling a bit and going to get more food. I come back and she's gone.

The rest of the night all you hear is Wissam asking Adeena if is she ok and explosions of gas and splashing water.

Janet comes in my room and me and her bust out laughing cause we both knew it was Maria. Janet sleeps with me in my room for tonight.

She wraps her arms around me as we lay in silence, she begins to hum softly a nice melodic tune. I slowly begin to fall asleep.

She rubs my back in small circles as the tune get softer and softer. She finishes the sweet lullaby, but before she does I'm already asleep.
