(His Point of View)

We always walked down that same path every morning at 6:00 o'clock as we watched the sun rise upwards the sky...

We would always listen to the morning birds sing as they flew so high...

and feel the wind graze past through us with it's gentle touch.

I remember waving to our neighbors everytime we pass by their house. They'd wave back and would even chat with us.

I remember taking a rest on the same bench at the park we would walk through and silently watch the cherry blossom leaves let go of the branches and soar with the wind or swim through the nearest lake. She would lean her head against my shoulder and her hand intertwined with mine.

I don't know why I've kept that same morning routine for the years we've been together...

If she wasn't with me around that time, I might have just rushed to my destination and ignored the scenery before me.

But luckily... she was..

Once we've reached her favorite breakfast cafe, we'd order two different meals and take the same spot by the window at the back of the cafe. She'd share a portion of her meal without hesitation... she'd even feed me as if I was disabled even though I've told her many times that I can take care of myself.

You know what she'd say?

'I love taking care of you... because I love you...'

She'd say those words with the brightest smile on her face and hold my hands, squeezing it.

I miss her...

I miss her so much...

"I miss mom, too, dad..." (Daughter's Name) said and smiled at me... The same smile she'd show me...

"You know? Your eyes always shine when you smile..." I stated, noting that my voice cracked a little and I carressed her hand and smiled softly. "Just like your mom."
