We were different in almost every matter there is but you weren't bothered about it. No matter how much of a difference my thoughts were from yours.

I hated to celebrate birthdays because I didn't see any relevance to it. Just another day to mark someone to be a year older. But you loved birthdays because you thought that each memory of being a year different would always be unique.

That's why you did your best to plan the best birthday for me, despite knowing the odds of me loathing the whole idea and set-up. I tried my best to not storm out of the cafe since the start but listening to your speech just made me petrified.

Finally knowing the reason why you cherished birthdays despite it being so painful, my thoughts on birthdays changed completely since that day.
