All of the guests had seemed to arrive all at once. They were all so polite yet so intimidating, although it gave me a pinch of guilt when I felt disgusted as I felt all their sweaty hands against mine, which also made me slightly uncomfortable.

They wore their fanciest outfits, million dollar outfits if I may add. They were so wealthy. Women wore dresses and shoes made from the world's greatest designers and the men wore the most cleaned up tuxedos. It was as if this was the occasion of the year, which to my dad, it pretty much was.

My family's corporation had been passed down to my father awhile after my grandfather decided it was time to end his term. This company is all my family ever talks about, and of course my dad was extremely ready for this moment. He constantly tells me, "I was born for this, as well as you and one day you will take my place and run it in the best way you can." I've heard that phrase way too many times, I've lost count. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem having the business being passed down to me, it would be amazing following their footsteps although sometimes, I feel a bit pressured. If you were to make one small mistake, you'll be a disappointment, and I can already tell that that is a terrible feeling.

"Justin!" Ryan, my bestfriend, shouted from a couple feet away, causing some people to give him a few strange looks, probably thinking, who let this uneducated kid in?

You would think that a family as sophisticated as his would have sophisticated children as well, but he is living proof that that is untrue. He is more laid back, and doesn't worry much. He prefers to be normal and go out to play some sports instead of traveling the world with his parents. He's so simple, and that can be a good thing most of the time.

"This place looks well set up, seems like your parents put a lot of work into it." He said as he reached over to grab some sushi from a platter next to him, he loved to eat.

"Yeah, they were both really excited about this." I responded, nodding my head.

It was true. My mom took control of everything mainly. She took care of the place, the flowers, the food, the drinks, even the music. She was almost as excited as my dad was, and she wasn't even the new boss.

"What about you? Aren't you excited?" He raised his eyebrows, causing me to chuckle.

"Eh, I guess so. I'm a bit exhausted, my parents got me everywhere today." I shrugged.

"Well, that's what happens with a family as important as yours." He told me as he took a bite and nudged me with his elbow.

"Important? Just for being founders? There's many others. Take yours for example." I told him.

Ryan's family had their own business too, it was the main thing we had in common and I guess it's what brought us together other than the fact that we've known eachother since we were kids. It will be passed down to him as well, kind of hard to believe but it will happen and he'll just have to suck it up and be responsible.

Everyone who was here was also important, as well as wealthy. There was surgeons, business owners, travelers, etc. They were all very high class. They were the type of people who wouldn't approve of anyone below them. It is pretty harsh honestly, but lower classes aren't people they hang around or see much around here.
