In his own opinion, Phil wasn't even remotely interesting. He wasn't the sort of person to laugh and tell people jokes because he wasn't funny. He wasn't the sort of person to flirt and charm because he wasn't confident. And he defiantly wasn't the sort of person who could ask out PJ Liguori.

"They weren't gay for each other!" Tori shrieked, giggling when Will crossed his arms, leaned back in his chair and looked smug. "He and Rey had a thing."

"But thats not the point, Tori." Will sighed, keeping his calm as usual. "Us fans don't give a shit if a character is in a relationship and even though the plot makes it seem like Finn and Rey were a thing, everyone can see the chemistry between Poe and Finn"

"Fine, fine." Tori huffs, acting defeated although everyone knew this wouldn't be the last they would hear of the argument. "But Finn was hot. Thats a fact."

"You don't even like Guys." Dan pointed out.

"Hey, its called window shopping. I can look but I don't necessarily want to buy." Tori grinned.

Phil admired his friends and how they weren't afraid to speak up. How Will had girls falling at his feet and Boys questioning their sexuality but he only looked at one person. Tori could ignore the insults, about her being Lesbian, that were flung at her.

Dan didn't mind that he was the smallest player on the football team, he didn't care that always had uncontolablily curly hair. Dan didn't care about the faint freckles that scattered his cheeks and the lines on his forehead. At least Phil didn't think Dan minded. Phil didn't mind. He liked the way Dan's eyes crinkled at the sides every time he smiled, he also liked the dimple in his left cheek that only appeared when he fully laughed.

But of course Dan knew none of these things that Phil appreciated about him and Phil could never tell him. Dan liked girls and Phil liked boys. So clearly that eliminates any possible romance.

'You're my Best Friend.' Dan always said to Phil. Friend. Phil would think. And thats all.

"Philip are you there?" Tori joked, tapping his forehead. "Zoned out?"

Phil nodded.

"Thinking of a special someone?" Dan nudged him playfully, looking away before he could see the heat rising to Phil's cheeks.

He didn't answer, just picked at his sandwich. The table had fallen into an awkward-alough-comfortable silence.

Will cleared his throat. "I have to go find Emma, we have Calc together." He said picking up his books and running off to his girlfriend.

"Okay then." Tori shrugged, shovelling a biscuit in her mouth before picking up her backpack and tapping Phil on the shoulder. "Let's go, Phil. Art remember?"

Phil nodded and waved goodbye to Dan as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and matched his steps with Tori.

"So..." She sighed, turning to Phil. "What interesting things do you have to share with me, Phil, on this painfully long walk to the most useless lesson of all time?" Tori hated art and she always made that very clear, along with all her other opinions.

"Um." Phil thought. "I'm not really sure."

"C'mon there has to be something cool you can tell me." Tori looped her arm through his and swung it back and forth.

After a few more moments she accepted the fact that Phil didn't have anything to say. "Fine...When's your next hair cut?"

"What sort of question is that?"Phil grinned.

"A perfectly good one that deserves an answer. I'm only trying to make convocation, Philip."

"PHIL." He corrected, sternly. "And I don't need one."

"Hmmm" Tori looked at him, her lips pursed.

"What, I don't." He ran his spare hand though his black hair, which was a bit long. "Whatever"

"Are you going to Billy Way's party on Friday?" Tori pushed.

"No" Phil answered bluntly. He barley felt comfortable talking to Tori, who he had known since grade 1, let alone a house full of strangers.

"Aww, c'mon it'll be fun!" Tori tugged on his arm.

"Yep. Fun. A house full of drunk horny teenagers, Tori. That sure sounds like my ideal Friday night." He answered.

"Don't be so boring." Tori groaned.

Boring.

"Ya never know, maybe you'll meet someone." She smiled. "Plus." Tori pushed opened the art room door and turned to face Phil. "Dan's going."

She knew. Even though Phil never talked about his feelings. Tori still knew he liked Dan because she had known him for 11 years.

But she was right again. He should go to that stupid party because maybe he would meet someone and then maybe he could stop crushing on his best friend.

Little did he know that party wasn't so 'stupid' and he wouldn't just meet 'someone'.
