I.

And you just sat there on that green bench,
Under the shadows of the swaying trees
a gentle breeze playing with the strands of your hair.
You were bent over deeply engrossed in some book,
but you bare feet, pink toes and all, fiddled with the loose earth,
the dead leaves, the cool dark soil. smiling.
I couldn't tell what amused you,
the soil, or the book? but you smiled shyly.
Though you did not look up,you did not see me,
you just went on reading, wondering in the depths of your own world.
What could i say? I didn't want to shatter that brittleness in your beauty, your concentration.
I was also afraid of your eyes. so clear, so lurid. shinning with unmatched innocence, knowledge.
then your complexion warmed up, a shade darker, but brightly. And i just watched as your face drew into a smile.
But i was not seeing you, though you were looking up at me.
And then you shattered my own world.
You found me out!
