The Humans Before

CH 1- Introduction

Hello, this is my first book. Please if you could help me gain ideas throughout this story.

"Hey, Freddy!" A young 11-year old girl, named Chica, yelled.
"Hi, Chica. I didn't expect you to be here so soon." Freddy, who is 12, walked to Chica.
"Did you hear the news?" Chica asked excited.
"Yea." He responded.
Chica was on the verge to speak, but was interrupted by one of her close friends.
"Is Bonnie late again?" The ginger 12-year old asked.
Freddy looked at his watch.
"It's one minute til' 9:30."
"So, he has a minute." Chica said. "Well in the mean time, come look at what I did in the tree house."
They went up into the tree house that their parents had made for their little group. They made it at the very entrance of the forests that was at the back of the houses on that street.
Chica flipped a sign that said 'No ones home' to 'Knock before coming in.'
"How'd you paint the inside of the whole treehouse in just two days!" Exclaimed Freddy.
"I had a lot of help." Chica said happily.
Foxy, the ginger, went to his favorite part of the treehouse. The walls were a tan color and the nearby window had a butterfly and flower printed curtain. The couch was now an air mattress and the table was on the side of it without the radio that used to be on it. The battery powered radio was now sitting on a tiny side table that doubles as a bookshelf. It was placed as if it were a T.V. Between the air mattress and the radio was a better table with two layers that had almost everything that Foxy, Chica, Freddy, and Bonnie like.
"It could be.......better." Foxy said trying not to hurt Chica's feelings.
"You could have the double layered table to yourself." Chica said in a sad voice.
At that moment there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it." Freddy said, walking to the door.
He opened it and was greeted with a cheesy line
"Did someone order pizza?" Bonnie said trying to be funny.
Freddy face palmed.
In Bonnie's hand was two boxes of pizzas and a cage.
"Found a stray puppy!" Bonnie happily yelled.
"How'd you find the cage?" Chica asked.
"At my house, you can find the strangest things." He replied.
"Who's taking care of him.......her. Him? It." Foxy asked.
"This can be HER home." Bonnie said clarifying it's gender.
"How do you know it's a girl?"
"Margret!" Bonnie replied.
"Of course." Said Chica.
The rest of the day Chica explained the treehouse and Freddy explained on how they are going to take care of the dog. Bonnie eventually named it Scarlet, after much debate. At the end of the day they bid their farewells and went home.
