Chapter One• Confort

Why?

Thats the only thought that's running through Marinette's brain. Why did I say that to him?

"Ugh!" The girl whined feeling terrible about what she did. She knew any second Chat Noir would be at her balcony like usual. She didn't know how she was going to face him. Of course he doesn't know it was her saying such things but still. She was ashamed of her actions as Ladybug.

*Knock knock*

At the sound of the knock Marinette shot up and looked out her balcony door to see a crying Chat Noir. This is all my fault she thought to herself opening the door and embracing the male-cat-thing. As he sobbed into her chest, she guided him to her couch in her room. It was around 11:30 p.m so Marinette knew her parents were sleeping.

"C-chat?" she questioned, "Whats wrong?" She heard him start to stutter, so she pulled away from the hug and wiped his tears. "Chat please tell me whats wrong." The pain in her chest grew large knowing she made him cry this much.

"L-L-Ladybug s-said I w-was nothing t-too her," he choked, "s-she said she w-would be b-better off without m-me." Chat was in immense pain. He wasn't hurting physically, but mentally. Not only has his crush said this to him, but his partner. His best friend.

The dark haired girl pulled him into another hug. "I don't think she meant it Chat. Your amazing and of course she needs you. Your a duo."

"S-sometimes I don't feel like it." Chat confessed. "S-she has a huge f-fan blog a-and shes the one always saving the day." Marinette suddenly realized what he was saying was true. Ladybug was always saving the day. Chat was always left in the shadow. She felt like the bad guy.

"Chat look at me," the girl said. He looked up into her bluebell eyes and she wiped his tears. "Your important. To everyone. To ladybug. To me."

"Thank you my Princess," he says giving her a tight hug. She had to push him away to stop him from almost crushing her. "Sorry my lady." Chat said with a pink tint on his cheeks. He couldn't help but notice Marinette rocking the same tint of pink.

"Chat your miraculous is beeping," the girl said looking away.

"I should go I guess," he said wiping the last tear from his face. "Bye princess."

"Bye Chat."
